We are looking for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician with a Special Interest in Cardiology to join our Clinical team at Southend.

This vital post will see you using your expertise to improve the lives of children with sometimes complex conditions, while also being at the helm of driving this service forward.

This fixed-term role is 10-sessions per week and also includes participation with the on-call commitments. We welcome applications from both Consultants on the Specialist Register and those within 6-months of completing their CESR.
• The postholder will do 3/4 outpatient sessions per week.
• The post holder will be expected to have the abilities to set up and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• The successful candidate with work with colleagues across the MSE to provide an effective paediatric cardiology service.
• To take up leadership roles within the directorate and play an active role in the operational and strategic management of the department.
• Provide leadership and participate in Clinical Audit programme and the improvement and updates required for Guidelines and protocols.
