Position Overview:
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our nationwide network of Mitigation, Building Contractors, Specialist and Contents suppliers. This position requires providing administrative support to the Supply Chain Manager and the wider Surveying team. You will be an integral member of the team, handling a diverse range of tasks both in and out of the office. Your main responsibilities will include identifying weaknesses in the building claims networks, developing plans to rectify issues, supporting the Supply Chain Administration team, and ensuring KPIs are met. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a calm but assertive telephone manner are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager and Claims Management Team to identify weaknesses in the Building Claims networks and develop plans to rectify them.
Design procedures to identify high-quality prospective suppliers and manage the evaluation process from initial contact to contract or decline.
Manage and maintain the supplier information and tracking system and report any concerns to the Supply Chain Manager or Commercial Director.
Work with the Supply Chain Administration Team to ensure the supply chain meets its objectives and KPIs.
Ensure that external suppliers attend relevant training programs, including Claims Philosophy, Policy Application, software use, and Health & Safety compliance.
Handle escalated claim issues related to network supplier failures, in collaboration with the Claims Management Team.
Create and maintain a suite of management information (MI) reports to monitor the performance of network contractors.
Engage in regular meetings with Buildings-related suppliers, focusing on their management to achieve market-leading results for claims cost control and customer service.
Attend contractor and supplier meetings regarding new and renewing contracts.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to alleged shortfalls in the quality of services provided by network contractors or preferred Buildings suppliers, possibly involving visits to customers' properties.
Support the Supply Chain Administration Team during holiday and surge periods as required.
Manage your own schedule, arrange customer site visits, and book hotel accommodation when necessary.
Fulfill any additional tasks or activities as reasonably requested and aligned with company values.

Experience/Knowledge:
Excellent knowledge of the Home Insurance claims process, with previous experience in the Home Insurance industry.

Prior experience in managing a network supply chain or similar role.
Demonstrable understanding of customer service provision.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications:
Secondary education with qualifications in Mathematics and English, or demonstrable competence in numeracy and written English.
Full clean driving license.
