• Represent our Singapore and Malaysia business units during assessments by accreditation bodies and audits by clients and controlled document holding
• Interact with clients & Accreditation Bodies and be responsible for advising operational colleagues of the importance of quality, accuracy and integrity in the provision of the testing, calibration inspection and certification services we provide.
• Ensure buy-in to the effective implementation of our quality policies and procedure
• Manage scheduled internal audits across management system and technical disciplines
• Monitor laboratory test equipment for calibration currency and advise management of upcoming schedules,ensuring corrective and preventive actions identified within specific laboratories are implemented and verified in a timely manner.
• Manage external and internal proficiency testing programs and prepare compliance and improvement metrics as required.
• Write and review quality documentation and effective and efficient management of personal work schedules and timely generation of quality reports.

job requirement

• Diploma/Degree of Science or Engineering qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of managing quality management systems within a multi-discipline testing, inspection and certification environment
• Candidates with more experience (min 4 years) can be considered for the Quality Manager position.
• Demonstrable experience auditing against ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17065.
• Sound knowledge of equipment calibration and analyzing proficiency test data.

• Leader of the Quality Department
• Work with a cross-functional team to manage quality issues in New Production Introductions (NPI) program, resolving issues in material or process to successfully reach mass production
• Work with Purchasing and Engineering Team to develop local sourcing and manage supplier quality issues
• Establish control plans based on customer requirements and PFMEA for incoming, in process, outgoing and reliability inspection
• Drive the implementation of process control in critical process that will impact product quality
• Initiate activities and programs for continuous improvement on product quality and manufacturing processes
• Manage field returns and complaints

skills & experience required

• Master / Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contract manufacturing / services (EMS) environment
• Prior NPI manufacturing experience will be a plus
• Extensive Experience in supplier & product quality management
• Six sigma certified / lean manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques a plus
