The Job

• Responsible for ensuring that each part of the manufacturing process has been correctly completed.

The Candidate

• Minimum Degree in Engineering (of any discipline) or Quality Management.
• 5 years experience in a managerial level in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Management Representative for ISO 9001 QMS and/or ISO 14001 EMS.
• Qualified Lead Assessor for ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 14001:2015.
• Expert user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent command in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Your new role
Working within a dedicated Product Compliance and Quality function, you will collaborate with stakeholders in R&D, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure relevant compliance and legislation in all relevant territories is understood and maintained. This will include classification, labelling, and packaging of mild chemical products, maintenance of the Restricted Substance List (RSL), and adherence to REACH, PCN, BPR and related standards.

Project Manager Third Party MFG (TPM) – Quality Assurance

Under the general guidance of the Regional Manager TPM Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for provision of QA and Technical Support to the Abbott Nutrition Third Party Manufacturing Portfolio for manufacture of paediatric and adult Nutritional products.  The Manager is responsible for compliance with Corporate and Divisional QA policies, procedures, standards and specifications as well as country specific regulations depending on the TPM location and markets.  The Manager will be required to make quality  risk based decisions to ensure product release, regulatory inspections and risk resolution does not result in recall of product or liability suits that may result in adverse publicity and a reduction of sales on a long-term basis whilst ensuring minimal impact to Division inventories and the ability to service customer demands.  This position may have budget responsibility. 

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

• Provide QA and Technical Support to Abbott Nutrition Third Party Manufacturers (TPM), TPM Operations, Affiliates and other AN Stakeholders

• Responsible for QA portfolio expansion activities related to one or more specific TPM accounts within the global TPM portfolio – this may include both Business as Usual and TPM Start-up activities

• Ensure compliance to Corporate and Divisional QA requirements and identify and / or resolve Quality gaps and / or issues relating to product design, manufacturing quality programs and product start-ups at TPMs

This role is also responsible for ensuring that Delta-Q products are designed in a manner that is optimal for manufacturing. The Manager will continuously identify and champion improvements to existing products and manufacturing processes as required. 

This position will be based in Manesar, India, near Delta-Q’s Contract Manufacturer (CM).

Specific Duties:

• Works closely with CM to move production lines from China to India and establish a stable manufacturing process in CM plants in India.

• Regularly conduct physical Control plan audit on CM production lines and Tier 2 localized supply chain. Report audit findings to DQT teams.

• Works with CM for production layout design
• Solves manufacturing issues on site with CM and implements new manufacturing process trail runs with the CM.

• Calculates and provides estimates and quotations for manufacturing (tooling, assembly, and manufacturing test equipment) to Operations leadership.
• Works with CM and RMA team in BBY to analyze, find the root cause of RMA returned units and makes the improvement in manufacturing process.
• Responsible for the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) activities within his/her given brief.
• Conducts supplier development activities for localization as required.
• Performs special projects as required in support of departmental objectives.
• Manages orders through production and monitors factory performance for production completion and OTD.  
• Coordinates product Engineering change orders, PCN, FAI activity.

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment combined with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Manufacturing Engineering or a relevant discipline such as Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• In-depth knowledge of the manufacture and assembly of power electronics products including:
• Lean manufacture of components and final product assembly
• Surface Mounting Technology / Through Hole Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) techniques

As Senior Product Manager, Data Quality, you will be part of the Visa Commercial Data Solutions which is part of the broader Global Card Products and Platforms team which is responsible for all card able solutions for businesses and public entities globally, providing payment and value-added services to businesses, corporations, and governments.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Data Quality platform for all the commercial card products. Data Quality is one of VCS’s key strategy to improve data content received from merchants, partners & aggregators. The role will also focus on working with other product managers, Account Executives, Client Services and external data providers to contribute to the overall platform strategy and vision of improving data. In addition, you will focus on execution of a global roadmap working with other product managers, 3rd party partners, Visa Technology, Global and Regional teams to deliver functionality to meet issuer, acquirer and business client needs.

The role requires analytical, collaborative and technical product skills. In addition, the role is required to have a deep understanding of the Visa Commercial Data Solutions platform, ensure change to the platforms are executed on time and budget, and that Issuer and client impacts are understood, communicated, and managed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Senior Product Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the product features & initiatives for the data quality platform and deliver substantial value to VCS Issuers, Acquirers & Business Clients

• In this role, the Senior Product Manager will work closely with product teams, client services, engineering, architects, global cross-functional counterparts to build, scalable & competitive platforms that can meet global market needs

• Responsible for thoughtful leadership to improve the data quality platform through AI/ML strategies

• Responsible for expanding the data quality platform globally through strategic decisions

• Responsible for writing very clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for features and product sets

• Having a ‘Can do attitude’ and work with technology teams to develop use cases, and prioritize user stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that aligned with product strategy.

• Responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful business releases.

• Hands on data exploration and analyses of large data sets to enable data driven stories and product features.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

In this role, you will oversee the entire sourcing and production process for textiles used in the client's products. You will be responsible for managing suppliers, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient communication with various teams involved in the production cycle.

It is a Monday-to-Friday position, starting at 07:50 and finishing at 16:50 with an early finish on Fridays.

Purpose of Role:

* To be meticulous about meeting the quality standards set by the company and customer expectations

* To pro-actively improve product quality standards through the process of quality control

* To ensure that all product ordered by Railston is fit for purpose, consistent and meets both internal standards and specification, but also the expectations of our clients. This includes any legal and statutory regulation compliance.

* To develop and maintain current quality control standards and actively improve these.

* To act as the first point of contact for quality issues for the company supply and manufacturing base and actively improve the supplier and manufacturing standards without incurring any increase in product or material cost.

* Actively maintain and build supplier relations to increase product quality.

* To conduct quality control checks in line with the company standards for any product and/ or material required.

* To be a conduit between third-party QC agencies and Far East supply base to ensure a clear path of communication and resolution to all QC issues.

* To create quality control master document that identify critical areas of special interest in quality for each product within the range. To save and maintain these files in a timely and orderly manner.

* To monitor and advise on the performance of the quality control system and develop this accordingly.

* To liaise with any internal department to execute the quality control process. To actively maintain professional relationships at all times.

* Ensure that all product checks exercise full and detail quality control inspection covering all aspects of the quality control process. To accurately record these in the quality control format for future reference.

* To have key involvement with our supply and manufacturing base and attend manufacturing facilities when required to carry out quality control inspections.

* To carry out inspections within a timely fashion, without affecting prototyping or production time.

* To fully support the Design managers in the interest of quality control.

* To act as conduit for communication between supplier/ manufacturers and internal teams to determine product and material quality.

* To act as support for Equipment Development through quality standards.

* To manage product, material and any rectification logistics and processes for any product deemed as sub-standard or requiring further quality control inspection.

* To act as an advocate for quality control to both the internal and external customers, demonstrating cost, lean manufacturing and risk assessment benefits.

* QC process is to be documented from start to end and include proposals on the communication and resolution of issues with the relevant supplier.


Key Activities:

* Quality control

* Devising and furthering the established quality control procedures, standards and specifications.

* Reviewing technical specifications and client requirement and ensuring these are met in manufacturing production.

* Working closely with the design team and purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from suppliers and/ or manufacturers.

* Setting standards for quality as well as considering health and safety in all instances.

* Ensuring that manufacturing and production processes meet the required standards determined by the company and it's clients.

* Determining specific areas of improvement in both reducing product waste (material and time) and increasing manufacturing efficiency

* Define quality procedures around all product ranges and with internal departments (Sales, design and procurement).

* Establishing and maintaining controls and document procedures in the function of quality control

* Using relevant tools to establish and identify a clear and unbiased view of product and manufacturing quality.

* Advocate for cost benefits and consequences within communication that demonstrates to others the importance of risk assessment, prevention and corrective action.

* Administration

* Provide quality control reports which accurately assess and identify product quality and suitability, measured against the product specification and performance requirements

* Maintaining an accurate quality control report system, documenting and recording all QC checks in both UK, Europe and Far East Supply.

* Provide and maintain a weekly tracking document for quality controlled product. This will detail what quality controls inspections have been carried out, a summary of the results, pass/ fail rates and details of the supplier/ manufacturer responsible. If a fail the value of the credit that is being requested and a breakdown of potential cost reimbursement. This will include all labour and transport costs incurred and also a charge for QC work undertaken that we will expect the split to pay. Where an item fails a credit must be received within 4 weeks of failure date.

* Maintaining information & system integrity

* Producing photographic and video evidence of quality control inspections filed by product code within the relevant qc system folders.


Requirements:

* Degree educated or comparable qualification and/ or experience

* 5 GCSE grades A/B or O Levels, including English and Maths

* Extensive previous experience in retail equipment/ interiors or comparable industry

* Familiarity with Microsoft packages

* Strong experience in quality control role/ inspections and quality reporting

* Ability to read and interpret technical design packages and manufacturing details to allow full and accurate quality control inspections to be carried out.

* Detailed understanding of manufacturing and finishing details.
