Tasmanian Quality Meats is seeking Skilled Meat Workers to join our team at our Cressy Plant. These positions will be on a permanent, full time basis, 38 hours a week. Applicants must have experience in knife handling and skillsets to suit a variety of slaughtering and lamb boning tasks across our business.

Responsibilities
Eviscerates and trims animal carcasses;
Prepare animal carcasses for further processing by removing internal organs and hides;
Cuts meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones;
Trimming and preparing animal carcasses for the boning room;
Operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables;
Operates restrainer and stunning equipment
Stuns and kills livestock;

Job Description

The Senior Manager- Design Assurance Quality Engineering will play a critical role in managing/supporting the Design Control process for new Image Guide Therapy Devices (IGTD), ensuring they are safe, reliable, and compliant with all applicable Internal/External design standards, processes, and requirements.

Your role:

• Functional leadership including departmental budget, mentoring, training, performance management and technical/professional development of Design Assurance team members.
• Understands/implements processes and intent of all aspects of the QMS related to Design Controls.

You're the right fit if:

• You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in FDA regulated medical device environments, with a focus in Design Quality Assurance/Control, Systems Engineering and expertise applying ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CR 820, EU MDR and working knowledge of ISO 10993 (Biocompatibility).
• You’ve acquired a minimum of 4 years’ experience in functional team leadership, including budgetary responsibility.
• You have proven analytical & problem-solving skills, a statistical background, preferred in reliability/ verification, hypothesis testing, sampling, multi-factor analyses and have used post-market analytics/statistics to report on product quality performance in the field, initiated field actions and experience with Statistical software solutions such as JMP or Minitab.

• Provide training of design personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QC process
• Provide direction to the design team and subconsultants on the DQAS when questions arise or during the review of QC documentation
• Represent the Design Team on design quality issues at meetings with the Client, third parties and construction staff
• Perform Auditing/Surveillance of planning and design functions at scheduled intervals to assess conformance with the Contract requirements, as applicable
• Conduct surveillance of design submittals to confirm the documents are in substantial compliance with the DQAS
• Determine whether a Corrective Action is necessary to bring awareness of design quality issues to the project manager and Design Team

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline
• Twelve (12) years of design, project management, and design quality experience with 5 years of Design Quality experience
• Experience developing Design Quality Management Plans and Procedures to Parsons', client and ISO 9001 requirements and standards

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Registered Professional Engineer or Architect in New York, or ability to obtain within six months of hire date
• Strong leadership and management skills

This role combines the Design Quality Assurance and the Product Center Manager role. In your role as Design Quality Assurance Expert (m/f/d) you will be working as a part of product development team on new product development or on design changes to ensure product quality and reliability, minimize risk to users and patients. In addition, the Product Center Manager's responsibilities are added to this position, which includes post-market surveillance tasks and ensuring regulatory compliance. This ensures that the entire life cycle of the product can be managed and controlled.

Your assignments

Design Control

• Ensure that all design control deliverables comply with applicable regulatory requirements and design control processes
• Guide engineering and other teams and ensure that design control requirements are being met in an effective manner to achieve quality by design, including those for design verification, validation, specification and procedure development, risk management, and design review
• Provide input to design and manufacturing engineering project DHF deliverables including material specifications, drawings, inspection procedures, and manufacturing procedures, to ensure that the resulting products can be adequately manufactured and tested. Review DHF files for accuracy and completeness and provide guidance on FDA compliance and procedures
• Work independently on high visibility new product development projects; including projects involving multiple technologies and design sites
• Create processes and process improvements to ensure consistent implementation of internal requirements and external regulations and standards

Product Conformity

• Main contact for medical devices marked with the CE-mark with a focus on non-active medical devices for Peritoneal Dialysis
• Ensure that Technical Files are complete and up to date and that essential requirements are met

Post Market Surveillance

• Analyze PMS data and if needed initiate required activities

NC/CAPA

• Acts as a Quality Approver for design control related topics and as a Quality Assignee for system related topics

Your profile

• Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or a similar technical field required, such as medical technology or a technical apprenticeship with further training to be a technician, along with relevant professional experience
• Several years related experience or an advanced degree without experience
• Advanced knowledge of Design Control and Risk Management standards (e.g, ISO13485, IEC 60601 and ISO 14971)
• Advanced knowledge of medical device regulations (e.g. MDR 745/2017, 21CFR820.30, NMPA-Regulation)
• Experience with product or design and development or quality engineering of sterile disposables utilizing various plastic processes such as injection molding and extruding
• Deep understanding of Design Controls and solid engineering expertise that enables them to guide engineering teams
• Experienced with development of design input and traceability through verification and validation V&V activities
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, high engagement on achieving targets and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel national and international
• Fluent in written and spoken English and German
