Job Description

This position is for a full-time Software QA Engineer to join Keysight’s Quantum Engineering Solutions (QES) organization, which is responsible for producing world-leading solutions in quantum control system for quantum computing. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be part of an R&D team comprised of quantum physicists, software developers, and RF-uW measurement engineers, working together to develop quantum control software solutions that control instrumentation like AWGs, Digitizers, Network Analyzers to perform quantum measurements. You will work throughout each stage of our product development process and tackle complex technical challenges while in a customer-centric environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support a diverse software test environment for QES solutions
• Experience working with but not limited to AWG, Digitizer, and Downconverter modules and oscilloscope - PXI hardware experience highly desired
• Need engineer that has a passion for full stack testing of production and actively developed quantum software to verify the system/solution meets/exceeds customer expectations - Testing coverage includes areas such as but not limited to phase skew and time alignment
• This candidate will develop a test solution that is a foundation for continuous testing of existing and new features that include software and gate-ware.

Job Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Physics/Electrical Engineering with 4 or more years job experience in C#/Python programming and debugging working on production software; Experience with test environments and testing methodologies
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose system issues related to hardware instrumentation and software interaction
• Work independently and self-motivated
• Ability to work with geographically dispersed team members
• High tolerance for ambiguity, results-oriented, meets timelines, handles pressure while working positively in a collaborative manner
• Practiced written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn continually

As an Actuarial Analyst for our Model Assurance team, you will be working with a dedicated and close-knit team to deliver key model review initiatives.

In this role you will have the unique opportunity to make a change and become a champion for better data and modelling practices within TAL.  Working from a first-principles approach, you will be able to challenge existing methodologies and models (including Prophet) to allow for improvement in the ways of working and sustainable model development.

The role will have exposure to the breadth and depth of TAL’s comprehensive suite of products, and you will be able to extract new insights in collaboration with your team and external teams such as in the Product and Pricing area. As part of model review, you will be working with entire portfolios of businesses and as such your findings can produce high-level impactful results for TAL.

You will be presenting your findings to a range of key stakeholders in the business, from the model owners to the project sponsors at the general manager level.

You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with your team, providing mutual support, peer-reviewing and problem-solving together during the team’s project work.

In addition, you will provide support on other initiatives beyond model review depending on the business’ needs which can include within the data space.

Key Accountabilities:

• Enhance the internal risk mitigation framework of TAL through independent model and data reviews on actuarial and finance models
• Support the business on projects to enhance the data and model capabilities of TAL
• Report and present back to the business on key findings and insights
• Explore creative solutions to model quality management and control
• Maintain a balanced approach to risk and the application of risk management principles to all phases of conduct and implementation for project deliverables

The R&D Quality Director role requires a unique blend of management and hands-on expertise, serving as a vital bridge between Quality and R&D. We are seeking a seasoned professional with over 20 years of industry experience, including substantial exposure to both software and hardware development. The successful candidate will lead a team of three quality managers, closely partnering with R&D to drive continuous improvements in product quality and processes. This pivotal role ensures that quality remains at the forefront of R&D efforts, fostering excellence across the entire organization.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Secure Quality in Products & R&D Programs

• Q target setting and monitoring
• Process tailoring to secure programs have optimum R&D processes in place and adequately supported and deployed
• Installation & execution of Program Quality Plans and use of metrics for monitoring and analysis of process performance
• Q-Gate readiness check; product quality reviews and audits to monitor and foster process adherence

Support R&D Process Management

• Support process management with subject matter expertise on international Q standards (e.g. TL, ISO) and best practices (e.g. left shifting)
• Support the development, assessment and implementation of key R&D product and process performance measures/metrics

Drive Continual Improvement

• Promote proactive key improvement quality practices
• Support product RCA analysis on field issues escalated to R&D
• Manage process improvement projects that are aligned with strategic goals
• Provide training as it relates to driving process improvements

What you will do

• Build software quality products for banking and financing institutions with R&D teams that are openly collaborative, are non-hierarchical, respect contributions and work with agility.
• Provide vision & leadership for the quality roadmap of our products. Understand product capabilities and strategize quality for its alignment with business objectives and maximizing ROI.
