Job Description :-

• Plan and propose any new development and cost down activities 
• Responsible and follow tightly with subordinate activities
• To provide any support for sales team
• Hands on of R&D activities, prepare lab test report till pilot run
• Value added/improve the quality of existing product
• Develop & research new products to meet market trend and demands
• Cost down on existing products by maintaining the product quality
• Evaluation of raw materials (for replacement, cost down or alternate source with lab test report)
• Liaise with purchasing and suppliers for the materials related issue and sourcing new materials for the new product development
• Investigate and study customer complaint. Initiate corrective action on the genuine customer complaint (which related to the formulations, specification and testing & provide report and counter measures)
• Modify the existing products to meet specific customer requirement, for instance colour, finishing/appearance, costing etc based on project basis
• To carry out testing of competitor’s products against our similar range of products and prepare report based on the finding
• To ensure all the lab equipment’s are well maintained and control.
• To carry out testing for rework old stock or problematic finished goods
• To liaise or propose any extra value-added testing or certificate for products
• To ensure all technical documentations are well maintaining for audit.
• Managed a team of chemists to meet technical KPI.
• Regional support to enhance formulation synergism.
• EHS compliance to technical and QC labs respectively.
• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
• Min 10 years working experience in paint/similar industries
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Job Purpose

To strengthen the in-house actuarial capability in the area of general insurance and provide actuarial support to general insurance business.

The Job

· Performs valuation and assist in preparation of reserve review reports

· Supports implementation of target operating model for IFRS 17, including the assessment of insurance reserves, profit and loss.

· Collaborates with internal/ external stakeholders to price and develop GI products.

· Provide pricing guidance and review support across entities.

· Assists the Company in driving the GI business through experience and profitability analysis on various business lines.

· Performs business projections for business planning, stress scenario construction and stress testing under both RBC and IFRS 17 basis.

· Supports Reinsurance (RI) related assessment, such as optimal RI assessment, RI accounting and financial reporting.

· Develops and enhances in-house statistical capability using SAS software, which includes:

a) Periodic data preparation for valuation and pricing

b) Assist in the financial management of the general business

c) Support business units by generating required reports

· Provide technical support on other general insurance related matters, such as marketing, underwriting and claims management

· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

· Degree in Actuarial or relevant fields, and good progress in Actuarial examinations

· Excellent in statistical analysis, problem solving and communication skills

· Proficient in MS Excel and good knowledge of statistical packages and strong interest in programming (e.g SAS, SQL, VBA, Prophet)

· Familiar with general insurance, RBC2, reinsurance structures, IFRS17, and AS400 system data structure will be an advantage

· At least 5 years of relevant working experience

· Manage the Production Spreadsheet for various products

· Preparing test request for production running for the 2 production plants

· Check the raw material spec / stock file:

- Monitor Unstuffing for incoming cargo for urgent usage

- Check through COA and standby to arrange for test before unstuffing

- Arrange for urgent draw sample upon unstuffing:

- Ensure Sample sent to MLS

- Monitor Test Results availability before production

- Send Spreadsheet for Approval

- Send Email for Transfer and W/O

- Print and check all COA & HC, send Email to QCs and MLS

- Arrange for sampling staff to prepare Trial Sample and send to MLS on time

- Ensure Trial Sample meet the required specifications of customers

- Ensure all stocks in the 2 plants are ready for production

- Ensure Raw Material Test results available before production.

- Ensure Final Copy of spreadsheet given to Batching Leader before start Batching

- Ensure Production run smoothly

- Check Specifications upon completion of Finish Product

· Discuss with Management for forecast planning

· Covering duties during absence of team members

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver management reporting on Embedded Value (EV) and New Business Embedded Value (NBEV) and highlight insights to management
• As the Prophet Manager, the role is responsible in ensuring Prophet model governance framework is in line with industry best practice and upholding the standards for Prophet development work
• Collaborate with Finance department to deliver business planning and forecasting key financial metrics (NBEV, Insurance Operating Results) and variance analysis
• Provide guidance and review the work of team members to ensure timely and high quality deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Sciance or equivalent
• Good progress in actuarial qualifications with US, UK, or Australia Actuarial Institute or newly qualified actuary
• 6 to 9 years of work experience in actuarial functions, preferably in financial reporting and Prophet modelling
• Technical, meticulous, and able to apply critical thinking
• Able to communicate in simple and concise way to stakeholders
• Able to work independently and collaborate with other team members within actuarial and other departments
• Adaptable, open to a dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working
• Experience in stochastic modelling will be a plus

Responsibilities:

• Perform reconciliation on equities/products to ensure accuracy with upstream custodians.
• To identify the breaks and resolve discrepancies.
• Responsible for MAS yearly valuation reporting and Statutory Board quarterly statistic reporting.
• Perform the extraction of agent’s data for Fatca/CRS reporting and check the data extracted to ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for Signature verification and world check on transfer matters.
• Perform as checker for reconciliation performed by team-mates.
• Be the Checker for SG trade affirmation, crypto transfers and Satoshi test
• Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 - 6 years relevant experience
• Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work under independently under pressure and collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
