• Assist the Chief Engineer to oversees the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel.

• Educate and train all engineering colleagues in compliance with governmental and safety regulations
• Ensure the team is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
• Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
What We Need From You
• Certified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Five years operating experience in a hotel engineering department
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a hotel engineering department or a related field with a proven record of accomplishment or success.
• Experience in hotel renovation is an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
• Highly committed to delivering a high level of guests experience
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, particularly to deal effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

As a member of the Engineering department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the shopping mall are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the general administration and the control of the operation within the department.
- Engineering P&P to carry out all the assigned task by superior.
- Ensure that all repair works are being attended to within the instructed timeline.
- Ensure that all repair works and breakdown equipments are attended to promptly and that all other related equipments are in good working condition.
- Be familiar with the operational duties and the services.
- Delegate tasks to staffs follow up and keep a log of the daily activities.
- In charge of Engineering spare parts & stock inventory control. Ensure all spare parts monthly inventory at the required par level.
- Check system or equipment faults and follow up vigorously on the repair works.
- Monitor the service and maintenance of all equipment’s and controls.
- To maintain the tidiness and neatness of the store and workshop.
- To ensure that all spare parts are available for use whenever required and proper storage of supplies & materials.
- To take over duties and responsibilities in the absence of staff.
- Extend co-operation to Superiors and be receptive to instructions.
- Able to work independently.
- Be tactful and polite when handling staffs.
- To develop and maintain a good working relationship among staffs.
- To maintain a high level of personal grooming and hygiene at all times.
- To attend training as required.
- To train subordinates on all aspects of the department’s daily operation.
- To ensure that all staffs are trained and able to apply installation procedures.
