The Logistics Engineer in our Ground Transport division provides comprehensive support to both internal and external stakeholders and customers across commercial activities within the Business Development and Ground Transport business lines. The primary focus is on fostering business development for both new and existing customers.

The role facilitates new business growth and enhanced optimisation within existing customer contracts through process design and re-engineering. By developing strategic plans, refining processes, implementing efficient systems, best practices, clear reporting mechanisms, and adopting a structured project approach, this role has a substantial impact across all operations within Ground Transport.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

-Design, organise, improve, and implement solutions for different business sectors (consumer and retail, automotive, etc) to fit the needs of internal and external customers and to optimise the use and efficiency of workforce and resources.
-Calculate the resource requirements (e.g. analysing workforce utilisation, mechanical handling equipment, transport fleets and optimisation, etc.) to physically perform a proposed solution.
-Analyse workforce utilisation, vehicle utilisation, vehicle fleet optimisation, production schedules and costs to determine optimum labour and equipment / vehicle efficiencies to provide an efficient solution for contract renewals.

About the Team

The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. Our product engineering team is responsible for building an e-commerce ecosystem that is innovative, secure and intuitive for our users. The team is responsible for developing all of TTS South East Asia businesses - which will involve exciting projects covering user growth, homepage, discovery channel. You'll be tasked with creating a Global E-Commerce Shopping Platform, collaborating closely with engineers around the globe.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and build high performing teams within your organisation, including mentoring team members and providing technical support for engineers on the team.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to develop all of TTS South East Asia businesses on TikTok.

- Be responsible for developing all of South East Asia businesses - which will involve exciting projects covering user growth, homepage, discovery channel, page build system etc.

- Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units.

- Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organisation.

- Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & System Analysis, Science (Computer Studies) or related discipline.

- At least 2+ years of experience managing or tech-leading a software engineering team.

- Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in web frontend development.
