The Fiduciary Call Center (FCC) has been established to centralize the VA's toll-free phone activity to yield greater consistency and quality in phone service. The Fiduciary Call Center Manager (FCCM) provides leadership and direction to the Center and coordinates its activities with other call Centers, Regional Offices, and Divisions within the Regional Office. A longstanding UK retail organisation is looking for a Cyber Security professional with experience in Vulnerability Management to join their Cyber Security function. You will work closely with colleagues from across the business to ensure that the organisations security standards are maintained.


Your new role

• You will assume accountability for assessing, understanding, managing, and informing the business of risks posed by technology and network weaknesses.
• Collaborate with the owners of internal software, third party software, and on-premises/cloud infrastructure to identify weaknesses in the environment.
• Utilise your experience in vulnerability management to present a prioritised knowledge of the dangers that these vulnerabilities bring to the company.
• Be granted freedom to develop the vulnerability management procedure further in light of your expertise.
• Oversee periodic independent vulnerability assessments and continuously searching for vulnerabilities.
• Assure efficient and thorough patch management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Thorough awareness of what security vulnerabilities are, how to classify them, how to resolve them, and what risks they present.
• It is crucial that you have the capability to prioritise the patching of vulnerabilities depending on threat intelligence and the overall environment of the organisation.
• Highly proficient at creating insightful reports and interacting with key stakeholders.
• Experience with MS Defender and reputable SAST, SCA, and CSPM tools is highly desirable.
• Full comfortability utilising MS software for documentation, presenting & analysing data.
• Thorough understanding of patch management and security configuration management.
• Previous experience conducting and/or managing penetration tests is a bonus

They will report to the IT Director, the role holder will be the primary escalation point for all security issues and the lead for all security projects.

Your new role:
* Deal with escalated issues in priority order as required to defend, support or maintain systems
* Manage requests assigned to you through to resolution & escalate to third parties where appropriate
* Write & maintain guides for new/updated software& processes
* Assisting with the development of IT systems and fulfilling IT project tasks
* Conduct Security, infrastructure & support rota checks as
* Patch Management & access management for onboarding and leavers etc.
* Facilitate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks, servers and applications. Provide & implement solutions & report on these
* Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
* Develop security standards, practices & automation scripts to handle and track incidents
* Staff information security awareness training
* Provide input to the information security strategy & harden on-premise and cloud infrastructure

What you'll need to succeed:
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, both in person and online
* Expertise in leading Cyber Security tools, such as Microsoft Defender and Sentinel, Tessian, Mimecast, Lepide, etc.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for technical faults
* Good working knowledge of IT service delivery processes and IT Service Management systems
* Excellent knowledge of Windows (desktop and server) and Mac/Linux operating systems
* Competent knowledge of iOS and Android operating systems
* Good understanding of virtual server infrastructure (VMWare), Azure Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Azure Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/WEM, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Office
* Experience with networking issues on the LAN and remote assistance tools such as TeamViewer and Citrix Director
* Knowledge of computer and application installation/configuration, ITAM principals, Office Manual procedures, internet security, data protection and confidentiality principles
* Technical awareness of current leading technologies, suppliers and industry terminology
* Achieved or working towards:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- ISACA - CISM
- EC - CEH
