The Sys Admin is responsible for managing day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents and changes meeting customer’s requirements and Service Level Agreements. He/she will also provide support to the System engineer/team lead based on tasks assigned and not limited to:

• conduct health check, conduct infrastructure monitoring, handle customer queries, investigate incidents reported, resolve the incidents, apply fixes, and to ensure that incidents reported are tracked and resolved till closure
• cooperate with internal/external stakeholders to achieve work/task objectives set out by the system engineer/team lead/Managers.

About the Job

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and patching/vulnerability assessment of critical Microsoft SQL/Oracle server systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of corporate applications.

To provide day to day operational administration functions and end user support of the Electronic Rostering & Attendance (ERA) System within the Trust. To provide administration and technical expertise in relation to the Trusts Electronic Rostering & Attendance (ERA) system including support of the systems functional management capability. To support the training programme and provide information to staff in order to ensure they have a good comprehension of the (ERA) system To support all staff groups in creating efficient, cost effective rosters, including training and roster workshops.Responsibilities: On a day to day basis provide support to the ERA System Administrators. Resolving system queries, providing advice and guidance, resolving software and system operational problems. Provide ERA System Administration. Undertake and maintain system configuration to ensure the availability of up to date and timely data items within systems. Preparation of documentation associated with system processes. Ensure all new system users have received adequate training and have appropriate system access levels to enable them to fulfil their role. Liaise with Human Resources and ESR system team to obtain regular details of system users leaving employment or changing roles, ensuring that system access is deleted or amended appropriately. Act as first line support for systems users, providing advice and guidance, resolving software problems where possible.. Provide intelligence and relevant information to the ERA user group in order to share knowledge and experiences.
