JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for proper handling of Warehouse equipment and tools for better efficiency.
b) To ensure that packed goods in bags are properly stored and stacked at the respective place awaiting shipment.
c) To ensure proper housekeeping and 5S for more conducive working environment.
d) To provide efficient and quality work output such as strapping, labelling, stretch-
wrapping, stacking and palletising of packed goods in bags and drums to avoid customer complaints.
e) To ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed accordingly for safety in work
stations and to achieve zero incident/accident.
f) To ensure all activities carried out are in compliance to IMS system, Food, Feed and
Cosmetic Safety Management Systems.
g) To undertake any other duties as instructed by superior from time to time.
h) Job scope - to assist in wrapping machine, cargo/bulk bag preparation, housekeeping,cargo insulation, etc.

Essential Job Duties:
Develops requests for proposal (RFPs), invitations for bids, and requests for quotes for diverse, specialized purchases of materials, supplies, equipment, and services as needed by the County.

This recruitment may be used to fill full-time, part-time, temporary, limited duration, and on-call positions.
Routine Telework: This position is designated as “routine telework,” meaning you will be working remotely (from home); a hybrid schedule also is available. As with all routine telework positions, employees may be required to come into the office on occasion. The designation of Routine Telework may be subject to change at a future time. All employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the county cannot support ongoing telework from other locations. We are not able to sponsor H-B1 visas.
Type of Position:This is an AFSCME Local 88 union-represented position and is eligible for overtime.
Work Location: Multnomah Building, 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland OR, 97214
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is some flexibility with the start and end times and a possibility of a flexible schedule.
Serving the Public, Even During Disasters
Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities.
