You will support the production and QA Departments in ensuring all aspects of the manufacture of products are performed in a controlled manner, meeting commitments to international regulatory bodies, as well as Good Manufacturing Practice. Ensure manufactured products are compliant and fit for purpose by performing physical and analytical testing and report accurate results. Duties to include:

• Being responsible for physical analytical testing.
• Follow internal methodologies.
• Adherence to GMP requirements.
• Accurately record microbiological results within data packages, as received.
• Execution of protocols.
• Ensure laboratory housekeeping standards are maintained and documented accurately.
• Ensure all equipment is suitable for use.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• A relevant BSc degree, eg Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forensics, or equivalent.
• Be computer literate, with good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Experienced in QC testing of API, including HPLC and GC. Other wet chemistry techniques desirable.
• Good attention to detail, able to prioritise workload, positive and flexible approach.
• One to two years' experience in a similar role would be ideal, but not necessary.
• GMP experience would be desirable.

We are looking for a QA Technician to join our client on their nightshift, working 4on/4off, 6pm to 6am.

The successful candidate will have previous QA or food handling experience within a food manufacturing environment, with an understanding of HACCAP and an intermediate certificate in food hygiene. The main purpose of this role is to review the manufacturing process, plant hygiene, GMP and other internal audits as well as reviewing all raw materials and packing deliveries.

You will carry out daily GMP audits of the warehouse, factory exterior and the office block areas and regular checks on the packing lines to ensure that all products are being manufactured to the correct specification, regular checking of the packing lines and equipment to ensure it is working correctly and that items such as weight checkers, metal detectors are working and are calibrated as needed. Ensuring that the date coding and labelling of finished goods are accurate, readable and according to customer requirements. Carrying out traceable tests while maintaining product samples of daily production and ensure they are regularly
checked for quality or defects and conducting test on raw materials and packaging quality as well as developing technical reviews of suppliers. Continuous quality checking of procedures e.g., metal detection, weight checks, product seals, bar codes checks and verification, best before end date, film alignment, glue traces, code positioning, case contents and case coding as relevant, taking immediate reaction to remedy any deviation from specification and recording all tests in the Quality Finished Product and Check Weigh Forms.

The ideal candidate will tick three main boxes - technical experience, managerial experience, and just as importantly be the right fit for the team and company. Other duties will include: adherence to GMP requirements; verifying testing data; responsibility for key quality documentation; developing methods and SOPs; undertaking laboratory investigations; responsibility for QC equipment; coordination of analytical testing activities; developing validation protocols and reports; training of QC staff.
