Job Responsibilities:

·       Establish, implementation, operation and maintenance of Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001.

Quality Control Manager working with furniture (hands on role).

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum

Acorn by Synergie is seeking individuals with expertise in the furniture industry, particularly those who have dealt with the quality aspects of assembling self-build flat packs for their client. Your role would involve thoroughly inspecting and ensuring the quality of various aspects of the assembly process.

Purpose of the role:

• You will be working on the largest retail account, handling quality issues that you cant always see, so viewing these from afar via teams etc might need to happen, you need to be organised and capable of managing many quality issues at once.
• You need to ensure you can read and interpret technical design packages and manufacturing details to allow full and accurate quality control inspection to be carried out, as at times You will be working in the warehouse putting together some fixtures (furniture, mannequins etc.) that have been created outside the country.
• Training is exceptional as you will be trained and supported by other internals currently working to support the accounts and the successful person will get to develop further within the company, so the potential is so great for progression.
• To ensure that all product ordered by the company is fit for purpose, consistent and meets both internal standards and specification, but also the expectations of our clients. This includes any legal and statutory regulation compliance.

• Provide and maintain a weekly tracking document for quality controlled product. This will detail what quality controls inspections have been carried out, a summary of the results, pass/ fail rates and details of the supplier/ manufacturer responsible. If a fail the value of the credit that is being requested and a breakdown of potential cost reimbursement. This will include all labour and transport costs incurred and also a charge for QC work undertaken that we will expect the split to pay. Where an item fails a credit must be received within 4 weeks of failure date.

Requirements:

• Degree educated or comparable qualification and / or experience
• 5 GCSE grades A/B or O Levels, including English and Maths
• Extensive experience in retail equipment/ interiors or comparable industry
• Extensive familiarity with Microsoft packages
• Strong experience in quality control role / inspections and quality reporting
• Ability to read and interpret technical design packages and manufacturing details to allow full and accurate quality control inspections to be carried out.

Use critical evaluation and problem-solving skills to respond to changing priorities to make improvements to services and protocols. Lead and encourage innovation in the quality improvement and clinical governance and their use in the Schools services. Identify, plan and support changes in clinical practice resulting from local and cross-Directorate clinical governance work plans in collaboration with the clinical multidisciplinary teams. Provide highly specialist advice and training on clinical governance and quality improvement, supporting service leads to monitor staff training and development needs to ensure full compliance with GSTT and Kings training requirements. Facilitate an inclusive culture and ethos when working with patients, relatives/carers and visitors along with colleagues in and external to Kings. They are looking for an experienced M&E Contracts/Compliance Manager to be responsible for of minor / major works operations across a range of building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities for various clients and contracts.

Duties:

• Management of minor / major works operations across a range of building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities for various clients and contracts. Manage the full supply chain management requirements to deliver successful services that achieve business objectives and meet our customer's needs.

• Managing approved contractors to meet service demands known and contingent, including procurement activity, commissioning, appointment and management in line with the Company's contract rules and standard terms and conditions.

• Improve the efficiency and output of the repairs and maintenance services including its reputation with customers and stakeholders for producing excellent services.

• Ensure accuracy of cost information in relation to projects and risk events. Ensure effective recovery of all claims/costs incurred.

• Review and authorise Sub-Contract payments within specified delegated authority.

• Undertake and accurately record work-in-progress, post inspections, health and safety inspections and act accordingly on findings. Also, where necessary compile improvement plans and see these through to completion.

• Provide accurate and timely reports on all aspects of projects being delivered including but not limited to production of monthly statistical and qualitative information in respect of service performance indicators and progress against targets and budgets.

• Keep abreast of developments in contract management practices and changes to standards and legislation, to ensure that services provided conform to industry best practice and legislative requirements.

• The post holder will be responsible for representing the company and liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and when requested, stand in for the Head of Minor Works and Compliance.

• Developing new solutions and delivery models to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and customer experience.
