Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic team player to join us as an Assistant Programme Executive at Active Ageing Centre @ Golden Saffron. The Assistant Programme Executive assists with the centre activities and clients at the centre

- Plan and prepare monthly activities schedule for clients.

- Engage with the clients during the activities.

- Pack and distribute food ration packages.

- Assess clients’ need and make necessary referrals to appropriate agencies and/or various care services.

- Manage and maintain all necessary documentations and paperwork of clients’ data and centre activities.

- Maintain the general cleanliness of the centre.

- Assist the centre manager on any other ad-hoc duties.

Job Scope:

- Operate the after-school centre (The Living Room) by supervising estimated 20 students in safe use of room

- Assist GEAR-UP team to refresh room and maintain equipment/devices/games by consolidating staff/student feedback into procurement list

- Organise and facilitate weekly programmes and activities such as table soccer, art, board games and other suggestions for GEAR-UP students and those who drop-in with goal to build rapport and connectedness with school

- Work wih GEAR-UP team to develop programmes to enhance drop-in centre activities if necessary

- Provide guidance and mentorship for students with presenting issues through their challenges, to improve and develop their well-being, life skills and resilience

- Work with the Student Development Team or counsellor on identified students for interventions when necessary

- Support the running of other GEAR-UP programmes

Requirements:

• Diploma from a recognized polytechnic (or equivalent) in social work and/or mentoring, counselling-related discipline

Working Arrangement:

• Once a week, Wednesday: 2.30pm to 5.30pmDuration per week: 3 hours
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidaysService may be required during school holidays
