Strategic
• To take overall responsibility for all event operations and the seamless delivery of Spikes
• Act as the public face and champion of Spikes internally and externally
• Develop strong relationships within the marcoms community across Asia-Pacific
• To create and drive forward our live programmes for Spikes
• Work closely with cross functional teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and London as well as local partners to deliver the highest quality events and exceptional audience experience
• Develop 3-year strategy for Spikes and build the event into a year-round programme; reimagine the event experience
• To ensure that the local Spikes Asia team fulfil the strategic delivery of the business plan, appointing and if necessary removing where necessary.
Financial
• Manage the overall Spikes Asia budget, and deliver budgeted revenues, margin and profits
• Lead the prioritisation of resource allocation, working with teams in Hong Kong, London and Singapore
• Working with the board and Lions awards team, develop and implement strategy to drive entries across Spikes
• Devise strategy to drive delegate revenue
• Work with sales team to create new and bespoke solutions to drive sponsorship revenues into the event; position event assets so they can be monetised
• Ensure we are negotiating the best deals and fees with local/regional suppliers
• Report to Hong Kong and London regularly on costs and revenue positions during the year
People
• Employ, develop, motivate, mentor, inspire and retain the best people, whether full-time staff or temps, and lead by example at all times
• Direct management of full time Singapore-based Spikes staff
• Form relationships, develop and maintain them with the Ascential and Haymarket teams
• Work closely with Lions, Warc and Campaign teams where appropriate to ensure working synergies
Production
• Conceptualise and oversee delegate experience and event operations, creative production, venues, sponsorship delivery, budgeting, resource planning and government grants application and submission
• Manage workflow across teams, including content, design and tech teams for the production of a virtual or live awards show
• In-charge of operations of the event
• Oversee venue and vendor search and selection, brief and contract negotiation
• Lead post-event analysis and results

• Presence, leadership, management ability and excellent communication skills
• Must be meticulous and have great attention to detail
• Knowledge of the region and marcoms industry
• Experience managing both large-scale and bespoke events
• Experience with awards programmes
• Thorough understanding of awards and events management
• Solid commercial and financial management acumen
• Strong logistical and organisational skills
