Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a SEND Tribunal, Disagreement Resolution, Complaints and Workforce Development Officer. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a key role in managing and resolving conflicts related to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) issues, ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the SEND Tribunal process, handling disagreement resolution procedures, investigating complaints, and implementing strategies for workforce development. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, education professionals, local authorities, and other external agencies, to ensure a fair and efficient resolution to conflicts and to improve the overall SEND provision.
Responsibilities
Manage the process of SEND Tribunal cases, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and deadlines are adhered to.
Facilitate and coordinate disagreement resolution meetings, ensuring all parties involved have an opportunity to express their concerns and find common ground.
Conduct thorough investigations into complaints related to SEND provision, ensuring all relevant information is gathered and analyzed.
Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals involved in SEND education.
Collaborate with local authorities and external agencies to identify areas for improvement in SEND provision and develop strategies to address them.
Keep up-to-date with the latest legislation and guidelines related to SEND provision, ensuring compliance in all activities.
Act as a point of contact for parents, providing guidance and support throughout the process of resolving conflicts related to SEND provision.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience working in a similar role, preferably within the education sector.
In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 16:30
Pay Per Rate: £284.70
Location: Camden, North West London
