Job Summary

This position is responsible for the administrative duties of the Career & Professional Development Centre (CPDC) such as facilitating students’ internship placement, coordination of all training programmes prior to internship, organizing Industry Day and Career Events sessions, keeping of student placement records, and administration of job portal.

1.    Internship Management

• Coordination of Internship process for students going for internship. Liaison person for students, faculty members, and employers such as arrangement of internship visits &presentations
• Establish good industry relations, and coordinate feedback from the industry partners.
• Internship process improvement.

2.    Upkeep of Internship and Training Database

• Upkeeping of student placement records in various industries, ensuring information is readily accessible.
• Upkeeping of student training records on internship preparation courses
• Update reports for each the internship batch.

3.    Management of the Career Management Portal.

• Administration of the above, managing employers’ accounts, job posting, students’ application, and students’ resume portal.
• Implement new initiatives in the portal.

4.    Event Management

• Coordination and Planning of University Events, such as Industry Day, Career Talk & etc.

5.    Training Programme Management

• Market training programmes to employers, coordinate in-house or external training Programmes.
• Upkeeping of training records for all short courses in the university.

6.  Any other duties assigned by immediate superior

Qualification/Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline
• Experienced in Training Programme Management, Event Management, Database and System Management
• Must have strong interpersonal and coordination skills.

Position: Assistant Chef

Employer: Gagan Chulo

Location: Aldershot

Salary: £26- £27K Per Annum

Working days / hours: 39 hours within a 5 to 6 day week

Benefits & Entitlements: 28 days paid holiday (pro rata), employer’s pension contribution, Chef’s uniform and meals on duty.

Duties include preparation of complex Nepalese dishes, training and supervising junior Chefs, purchasing & dealing with suppliers, stock control, quality checks, health & hygiene compliance, monitoring food safety & temperatures maintaining cleanliness within work areas, care and maintenance of specialist equipment, cost analysis and review, preparing reports and schedules and performing key duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE OF NEPALESE CUISINE IS NECESSARY. Previous experience - 3 years + working within an Nepalese kitchen. Extensive proven previous experience at required skill level

At least 3 years culinary expertise in Nepalese Cuisine.

Mission (Laboratory)

• The Laboratory is committed to professional practices to bring reliable and consistent verification & validation test services to customers.
• To sustain & uphold the Quality Management System (QMS) which comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 and SACSINGLAS technical and management requirements and continue to improve its effectiveness by doing regular review.

Responsibilities

Product and System verification and Validation (Main)

• Propose test requirements, with the project team, to meet the marketing / customers’ requirement for assigned projects / Products (including NFC APP, and others product).
• Prepare an initial estimation of resources and test budget
• Lead the establishment of product’s validation test plans and prepare the testnschedule
• Establish the matrix of references and quantities for the above test plans
• Ensure the availabity of all test means (equipment & tools, test standards facilities) to achieve product’s conformance
• Follow up with the requester (designer or APP developer) on the reported bugs (issues), proactive involve in project discussion.
• Ensure on-time completion on all assigned product and system verification and validation according to test schedule

Continual improvement of Laboratory process (Supportive)

• To sustain & uphold the Quality Management System (QMS) which comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 and SAC-SINGLAS technical and management requirements
• Continue to improve the work processes in laboratory to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing/processes
• To optimize the planning and management of the test schedule as to maximize the usage of the test equipment

To boast Laboratory testing competency and expertise (Supportive)

• To strengthen the competency and capability of the laboratory by commissioning more equipment
• To strengthen the knowhow of product international standards on testing methodology, pass/fail criteria etc.
• Continue to improve the testing efficiency by building up the knowhow on competitor products and implementing new ways of testing.

Test Reporting (Main)

• Create test reports for performed tests and present test synopsis to project and management teams
• To write clear and concise reports which address the business / technical needs of requestors

Equipment Calibration and Maintenance (Supporting)

• To source for good vendors to calibrate and perform preventive maintenance for laboratory equipment
• To keep track of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance due date
• Liaise and monitor performance of external vendors for equipment calibration and preventive maintenance

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree Holder/Fresh graduates are welcome
• Preferred with knowledge in product verification and validation testing of industrial electromechanical and electronics products.
• Good understanding of international standards

Position: Assistant Chef

Salary: £26- £28K Per Annum

Working days / hours: 39 hours within a 5 to 6 day week
