DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Tasks includes –


Maintain and develop the maintenance reporting procedure to ensure that Hotel defects are reported, recorded and repaired as quickly as possible
Lead a daily schedule for the hotel maintenance team in response to guest feedback, general hotel requirements from The General Manager and department requests in accordance with the preventative maintenance plan



Responsible for all Hotel’s on-site contractor activity ensuring they all comply with H&S.
Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
Establish and manage an effective room maintenance program.
Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.



Develop, implement and manage all health and safety policies, including raising awareness within the Hotels and issuing all permits to work.
Ensure statutory compliance checks are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company policy, in a timely manner and that findings are recorded in the appropriate place and any necessary action taken.
Ensure all equipment are maintained in good working order and all necessary checks are regularly completed.
Carry out training as necessary to ensure all staff work safely, and to the required company standard.
To identify and report hazards and maintenance requirements.
Carry out regular checks on work to help illustrate an improvement in the quality and finish of the Hotels.
Ensure that any subcontractor on-site works to the required standard, completes all the necessary paperwork and completes the job to the specification set out.
Maintain continued improvement in the Environmental performance of Hotels and monitor.
Ensure materials are kept safe, accounted for, and also ensure a base stock of certain items is at hand to make speedy repairs.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety, Licensing and Employment Law, and water hygiene to ensure that members of the Team are also aware of these requirements.
Maintain stock control and process orders
Be part of the escalation process and be available to attend emergencies when necessary
Develop and maintain relationships with our preferred suppliers to drive quality.
Undertake mains repairs in a timely and efficient manner minimising disruption to guests

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in London as a Cluster Maintenance Manager overseeing 3 properties. You will have the opportunity to join our team at the Doubletree by Hilton Kensington. This is a prestigious 4-Star property or which we are sure will become a flagship for the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in London. You will also look after Heeton Concept Kensington and Heeton Concept Hotel Luma Hammersmith.

Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience – as the Cluster Maintenance Manager you will keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you will approach every task with devotion and pride. You will ensure the highest quality of product both external and internal with key emphasis on standards, Health & Safety, sustainability and cost control and will also direct and develop your team to support you in these areas.

Your day-to-day

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms. By keeping on top of these tasks, you will keep our hotels looking great and working well.
• Organise supplies and make sure equipment is ready for the next day
• Live up to high safety standards – follow guidelines and tell your GM about any incidents, dangerous conditions or unsafe equipment.
• Always keep an eye out for improvements – follow the preventative maintenance calendar and keep everything working and efficient at all times
• Completing statutory health and Safety maintenance checks ensuring compliance paperwork is up to date and in good order
• Liaising with contractors to ensure competitive quotes and available to liaise with them whilst they are on site
• Planning daily and weekly tasks for Maintenance Assistants in the hotels.
• Give support and provide technical guidance to Maintenance Assistants and other hotel staff.
• Supervising and checking work of on-site Maintenance Assistant
• Ensuring that facilities, such as water and heating and lifts, are well-maintained
• Keep your GM or Duty Manager in the loop and tell them about any low running supplies
• To be available for any emergencies and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. Ensure all guests and colleagues are safe during emergencies
• To plan and implement maintenance projects in both properties
• To support and share best practice with other Maintenance personnel within the group

• It would be expected that you have regular overnight stays in the hotels as we are a 24 hours per day business.

Job Description:

• Perform testing and commissioning works for lift systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work on equipment, and standby duties as required
• Maintains and repairs elevators, escalators, and similar equipment
• Troubleshoots and locates malfunction in brakes, motors, switches, and signal and control systems using test equipment. Reads and interprets schematics
• Disassembles defective unit and cleans, repairs or replaces controller parts, generators, and brushes
• Operates elevator to determine power demand and tests power consumption to detect overload factors
• Other ad hoc duties

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working
• Meticulous and Good communication skills
• Min. Class 2/3 driving licence
