Reporting to Portbury Operations Manager you will play a key role in managing the Survey & Stock Management Teams. You will ensure that all stock management operations are performed and completed within the SLA agreements. You will also be responsible for managing the survey inspection and arrival process.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Manage a team of surveyors to ensure the arrival process is completed on time and follows the standards required.
Work towards improving and developing the processes, system and practices across the operation.
Maintain and build key relationships with Bristol Port Company and shipping agents with regard to planned and expected vehicle arrivals.
Make certain that the inspection process is followed as per customer specific requirements.
Adhere to all contractual maintenance obligations.
Ensure that all data is captured and entered correctly on the system accurately.
Take the lead in identifying and developing new processes so that that the survey and stock management processes remain fit for purpose.
Promote a positive attitude to health and safety on site and raise any concerns as necessary.
Check and control the use of company property e.g. scanners, batteries and site vehicles etc.
Continue to support ISO9001 and ISO14001 within the survey & stock operation.
Maintain discipline and ensure that the company site rules are adhered to.
Assist with department health and safety.
Carry out other duties as requested by the Portbury Operations Manager.
To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:
Experience in automotive operations
Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Office and industry bespoke IT systems (although training will be available).
Self-motivated with strong communication and organisational skills. With the ability to motivate and lead your staff to achieve all targets sit (week on week).
