The Role
Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is looking for a highly motivated, organized and enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about the live entertainment and music industries. This internship will allow you to gain first-hand experience in a variety of areas, including but not limited to label, publishing and management transactions.
Areas that you will be learning about as a Legal Music intern:
Draft, review and/or revise definitive transaction documents and related documents, such as exclusive recording, publishing, talent management, and distribution agreements
Draft, review and/or revise work-for-hire, confidentiality, and release agreements
Draft, review and/or revise artist clearance communications
Review and advise on intellectual property issues within visual content
Draft, review and/or revise form documents
Conduct research on various topics as needed
Assist with file management
Qualifications:
Must be a current law student, enrolled in a J.D. program at an accredited university
Must be eligible to receive academic credit from your university for the duration of the internship
This internship is available for the Summer semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot is a mandatory requirement for this position.

The Role
Summer Interns are offered the opportunity to experience corporate Legal Team Focus Areas and expertise while collaborating with team members through interviews, involvement in meetings, training, and assisting as appropriate. Over the course of the Internship, Intern will rotate through eight (8) Legal Focus Areas – each one building on the last and carrying through to the next. During each rotation, Intern will have time for an interview with the Focus Area leader, join relevant meetings, and assist with chosen tasks. Tasks may carry over from week to week to allow Intern to maximize experience and support of each Focus Area.

Required Education
Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school, with completion of first year (1L) by the start of the internship.
Internship Eligibility

• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 through August 2024
• Candidate must be available to work part time hours (approximately 30 hours per week)
• Internship may be on-site or remote. If on-site, Intern must provide own housing for the duration of internship program in the Goleta, CA area and must have reliable transportation to/from work.
$24 per hour
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
