- Advise senior leaders on primary prevention activities and the public health approach to preventing harmful behaviors.
- Coordinate, organize, implement, analyze, and integrate comprehensive primary prevention efforts through coalitions within and outside the military community and in accordance with relevant DoD and Army-level policy, laws, and regulations.
- Work with subordinates and other prevention partners to develop the prevention system (i.e., human resources, collaborative relationships, and infrastructure) and execute each step of the prevention process.
- Responsible for development of a comprehensive integrated primary prevention plan for the military community.
- Conduct and interpret needs assessments and complex analysis of existing integrated primary prevention capability and resource issues and assess factors that inhibit planning, implementation, and evaluation and document appropriately.
- Use a wide variety of public health tools and data science, statistical, and/or analytical techniques and processes to inform integrated primary prevention activities.
- Coordinate and monitor implementation of primary prevention activities and evaluations with varying degrees of sophistication in methodology.
- Supervise a multi-disciplinary team of integrated primary prevention staff members.
