Job Descripton:

• Develop expert knowledge of key AFC competitions.
• Provision of detailed media market reports to support strategic market by market media sales planning.
• Help determine rights segmentation and programming packaging approach to achieve optimum sales outcome.
• Provide refinancing calculations and identify value and impact of AFC competitions within specific markets.
• In conjunction with the sales planning team, develop high quality market sales plans and strategies using market research data.
• Develop cutting edge sales presentations.
• Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with key media and broadcasting clients.
• Manage the full sales cycle in appointed markets from prospecting to contracting.
• Create commercial strategies on a market by market basis.
• Liaise with internal Business Intelligence personnel on research requirements for the provision of meaningful and market specific insights.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external key stakeholders.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the SVP Media Sales from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience in the sports media and marketing business selling premium sports media rights globally.
• Previous experience in a media sales or media partnerships role.
• Outstanding understanding of media landscapes and competitor environment (broadcasters, platforms, digital players, telcos).
• Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing sales agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Strong relationship builder who is comfortable operating across multiple markets.
• Highly attuned to cultural differences and nuances with outstanding inter-personal skills.
• Experience in the APAC region is a must.
• Flexibility to undertake extensive international travel (mostly within APAC region).
• Fluent in spoken and written English, and Japanese language is an advantage.

We are looking for an experienced Media Sales Director to drive sales and brand partnerships. You will lead and manage both client and agency relationships to deliver profitable revenue growth through solution sales.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Leverage your existing customer network to pitch and close innovative customer solutions from Supermom’s array of products for insights, brand building, content marketing, and demand generation
• Thorough understanding of digital media and content marketing landscape including video, mobile, social, display, programmatic and experiential
• Proven sales track record in selling digital and custom content
• Results-oriented and self-driven
• Ability to conceptualize and deliver creative integrated solutions
• Have a "phone-first" mentality with a "wait for no-one" approach
• Wants to ASK for action of others and understands deadlines
• Able to lead a team of sales persons to achieve sales targets and 2x deal sizes

• At least 8+ years of sales experience
• Proven track record in identifying new and innovative opportunities and closing deals with a solution-based approach for clients, agencies and partners
• Strong understanding of digital advertising is a bonus
• Have exceptional communication skills and an ability to build excellent rapport with strategic decisions makers
• Good understanding of how to run and measure performance with relevant KPIs
• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with using CRM platform such as Hubspot is a bonus
