The Visa Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) team is a world-class commercial organization experiencing exciting growth opportunities as we expand into money movement and continue to grow our core commercial card solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as we expand to bring payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients and Governments. We work closely with Financial Institutions, Issuers, Merchants, FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services. What a Director, Solution Design & Pre-Sales, Visa B2B Connect does at Visa:
Visa B2B Connect is an innovative multilateral payment network, offering banks an alternative cross-border payment solution that can address the unpredictability associated with the current cross-border payment flows. The Visa B2B Connect team is part of the innovative Commercial and Money Movement Solutions group within Visa. This role supports bank enablement in Asia Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration sessions with our banks, their technology partners, and other FinTechs to create the solution that best meets the customers' needs needs by factoring in not only technical requirements, but also business requirements, cost, and time-to-market concerns
- Lead strategically significant engagements with banks, internal product, and engineering teams that are critical to the success of Visa B2B Connect
- Drive definition of technical solutions that meet banks' requirements and Visa's objectives
- Create and present high-level solution designs based on implementation requirements, Visa B2B Connect implementation standards, and banks' / partners' systems and processes.
- Work closely with internal Sales, Product, and Implementation teams throughout the pre-sales, solution design, and implementation phases to help propose and validate the overall integration design and provide general subject matter expertise to these engagements.
- Contribute to the overall B2B Connect development lifecycle by helping to identify opportunities to improve how we integrate with banks and their technology partners and help Visa shape the product roadmap.
- Independent day- to-day working, self-directed based on a sound understanding of overall strategy.

Projects you will be a part of:
The Solution Design & Pre-Sales will play a critical role in the development of this rapidly growing business. Working as part of a fast-growing team and supported by strong strategy and global product/technology teams, this individual will be responsible to help our banks to define and validate the overall integration design with the objective of driving significant growth for the Visa B2B Connect business. This role will also support bank engagements from pre-sales through implementation, and the overall product roadmap.
With the unique combination of technical skill, deep understanding of international wire payments, traditional SWIFT messaging, modern ISO 20022 messaging, and bank payment systems, the candidate will drive the enablement of our banks in Asia Pacific, grow Visa's Commercial Solutions, and make an impact to the payment sector in the Asia Pacific markets.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor or advanced degree or relevant academic and/or professional experience
- 10+ years' professional experience in a technical product role with client engagement experience for modern payment product technologies and services
- Solid understanding of both modern (e.g. APIs, RTP, ISO 20022, etc.) and traditional (e.g., SFTP/FTPS, IBM MQ, ISO 15022, etc.) payments industry technologies and standards.
- Strong experience in simplifying complexity and removing business and technical barriers to execution
- Well balanced interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and business acumen to drive desired outcomes
- Excellent communication in written and verbal, and stakeholder influencing skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

What will also help:
- Knowledge of predominant payment schemes in use globally (i.e., ACH, RTP, RTGS)
- Knowledge of the international payments sector in Asia Pacific (i.e. banking & regulatory landscape, payment service & system providers)
