You will be required to work closely with the Deep Support Team to support the provision for students who need help to overcome barriers to learning and to develop their full potential, as well as supporting the Vice Principal and the Deep Support Team.

You will be required to support learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment. You will monitor all students in the year group, until they leave the academy in Year 11, both academically and pastorally. You will work closely with the Inclusion Team and the Vice Principal Deep Support on Intervention Strategies to support the academic achievement of all students. Your role will have emphasis on intervention and student tracking throughout the day using the school's "Praising Stars" system. You will attend case conferences and other meetings regarding students in your year alongside preparing referrals and reports for those students identified as needing intervention.
You will contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism, celebration and mutual support in the school which promotes equality within, and values the diversity of the school community.
The successful candidate will monitor all students in the assigned year group, both academically and with behavioural issues and will need to have a good understanding of the wide range of problems experienced by vulnerable students.

About the Department
The Office of Research Strategy and Development provides research leadership and guidance by building research capacity and enabling federal funding for research at Brown as articulated in the Operational Plan for Growing the Research Enterprise at Brown, and the work outlined by the major research units to pursue the plan. The group accomplishes this by working with the Vice President for Research and other Brown leaders to develop and support the university’s research priorities; strengthening internal and external research networks, processes, skills and knowledge to continuously grow capacity for research excellence at Brown; and by increasing external research funding to enable world class research at Brown.
About the Opportunity
The Project Manager is responsible for successfully developing and submitting the administrative components of complex proposals for priority funding agencies as a member of the Office of Research Strategy and Development in efforts to advance Brown’s strategic plan to grow its research enterprise.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Research Strategy Development, ORSD, the Project Manager will advise, consult and guide the project management of the administrative processes for mid-large scale, complex research projects across the university. Under the guidance of and in collaboration with the strategic lead on a proposal (an ORSD staff member), the incumbent will work closely with faculty and staff stakeholders in defining the scope, schedule, charter and budget for projects. They will also be expected to work with teams to identify and organize priorities and establish processes and contribute to the ongoing operations as well as develop and document processes and procedures. The incumbent will be expected to approach the work proactively and in an independent manner.

With this role, you will be working on all the portfolio of Sensory Qual methodologies we have developed at MMR for the last 15 years to help support our clients in designing ideal product and pack briefs to fit an idea / concept / positioning (being innovation or renovation), in understanding sensorially active characteristics during the consumption journey or in developing the complete guardrails for innovation working alongside our qual and brand consultant colleagues. You will therefore work across all MMR existing client teams and new ones too, which will provide a lot of variety in the product categories researched, as well as challenges. We are solution focused, so adaptability and quick thinking are crucial, especially in the current circumstances. Most of MMR’s work is food, drink and personal care related, so experience in these sectors is advantageous, to be able demonstrate relevant expertise to our clients.
All our Sensory Qual approaches use qualitative collaborative techniques, so consumer understanding and great client interaction are key to add value to the process. You will own the projects you work on and deliver them from proposal to debrief as well as be involved in business development initiatives to continue to grow our client base.
We conduct research all over the world, expect opportunities to travel and explore new countries when this is appropriate to do so again. Any foreign language skills are therefore advantageous.
