About the Role
This is a 13-month FTC
There is a need for a Data Warehouse specialist to join the team to support a client transition process, to understand the Data Architecture and implement a Data Warehouse. The Data Warehouse specialist will also be responsible for supporting the Data Analytics team in provisioning data in the Data Warehouse for interrogation and manipulation using PowerBI. The role will involve extensive client interaction and supporting senior stakeholders in KBR articulate solution, its benefits to end public sector client.
As a Datawarehouse Developer, you will play a pivotal role in extracting data from multiple sources and transforming it into actionable insights for analysts and decision-makers. Your proficiency in working with relational databases, ETL processes, and reporting tools will be invaluable in driving our data-driven decision-making processes forward.
We value effective stakeholder management, and this role offers the opportunity to hone your skills through continuous collaboration with stakeholders. As a Technology Support Specialist, you'll bring experience of working in a modern ITIL-based IT service organisation, providing technical support and experience of managing a complex IT infrastructure. As a Technology Support Specialist, you will:
Contribute to the support and implementation of healthcare devices and their integration to Nuffield Health systems.
Provide on-site support to all Nuffield MDI sites across the UK.
Deliver a high standard of support to Nuffield Health IT users
Provide 2nd line remote support to end users of MDI.
Deliver excellent customer service throughout all engagement with the user in order to improve user satisfaction.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proactively develop the quality of the service offered to the end users and the efficiency of the delivery of that service.
Transition the knowledge gained from the MDI project back into operations.

Job Summary:
Performs assignments requiring technical knowledge/skills in records management, data management, configuration management, geospatial technology support, database support, data analysis, and other related fields in land remote sensing. Establishes and maintains reference/data files/catalogs in area of expertise and uses state-of-the-art tools and other resources available. Advises other EROS staff on matters related to their specialty and recommends the most appropriate methods of action. This position will support functions related to EROS archive enhancements & maintenance, Emergency Operations, Un-crewed Aerial Systems (UAS), records management reporting, software testing / support, support for off-shift and weekends and on-going data management functions. This work involves working with new digital and historical analog collections, developing ways to web enable data, migrating data formats and working with internal & external EROS customers. The person in this position utilizes software such as GDAL,ENVI, ERDAS, LAS, and ESRI ArcGIS, and performs data scripting (such as python and Perl). Knowledge of Linux systems and a proficiency in their use is also preferred.

Your new role
As Head of Financial Operations, you will report directly to the Director of Finance. This is a key leadership role that will design, review, improve, and deliver a Financial Operations function that is fit for purpose in the context of supporting delivery of the organisation\'s overall strategy. The postholder will lead c.75 staff, creating a culture of collaboration, continual improvement, excellence and effectiveness. The role will lead to developing the strategy for, and delivery of long term system improvements and developments across Finance with a view towards a new ERP system in 5 years. The system will work closely with other colleagues within the department or outside, such as with IT Services (ITS) or Planning, Projects and Business Intelligence (PPBI). The role will work closely with the Head of Financial Control and Compliance to identify and implement a robust control environment, efficiencies, process reviews, and system enhancements within the existing suite of systems.
You will need to have an extensive and proven track record of team management, with excellent personal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within and outside the Finance department. Good system knowledge and the ability to challenge the status quo and improve processes is essential. You should have extensive prior experience of managing financial processing functions, and of developing and enforcing associated policies and procedures.

You'll be heavily involved in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures and controls, as well as managing the annual budgeting process, providing regular reports to support decision-making.
There will be good opportunity for you to get involved with revenue generation opportunities as well as cost-saving initiatives, allowing you to demonstrate your entrepreneurial flair, whilst overseeing and leading the technology team internally, especially around the reporting around stakeholder data.
With various sites which are not only unique to business but to the sector, this is a unique and interesting role for a suitably interested and experienced candidate who is keen to make a difference.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant with significant leadership experience, but individuals who are QBE or part-qualified will also be welcomed to apply subject to suitable experience and background.
You must be adaptable, comfortable in an ever-changing environment, enthusiastic and willing to make a difference. You will be comfortable using Excel extensively and ideally have good experience of a variety of finance systems (Xero is used here).
