As Senior Pharmacist, you will be leading a team to support the purchase and distribution of pharmaceutical products in hospital. You will guide the stakeholders on managing purchases, renewal of contracts in ensuring pharmaceutical supply are available at all times, when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for pharmaceutical products
• Collate, review and submit projection on bulk purchases and liaison with stakeholders
• Familiar with formulary drugs, perform orders-sourcing, evaluation and liaison with requestors
• Prepare and submit approval papers and perform negotiation for purchases
• Engage suppliers to ensure quality level, cost improvement and supply efficiency
• Lead supply chain and handle daily operations including queries and complaints
• Identify, facilitate and administer projects on pharmaceutical procurement and supplies
• Handle and administer adverse events, product recalls if applicable

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy with 2 years' of relevant professional practice experience
• A registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
• Good knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in engaging stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Job Responsibilities

• Leading the procurement and logistics team of drugs supply chain in hospital to ensure no disruption in drug supply.
• Administer and supervise the procurement of pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceutical items
• Review and implement supply chain policies and procedures on purchasing and inventory systems to ensure efficiency services to stakeholders.
• Participate in tender evaluation and provide feedback on pharmaceutical products.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate and manage contracts for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical items.
• Analyse and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs.
• Oversee the inventory management and stock turn within department target.
• Ensure pharmaceutical product is purchased in timely manner with minimize out of stock situation, or to bring in alternatives where applicable.
• Responsible for MOH Civil Emergency, Emergency Preparedness and Pandemic Outbreak drug supply as main liaison person with MOH related to drug supply chain.
• Responsible for all Controlled Drug (CD) related matters in hospital and main liaison with HSA for CD related issues/ audits.
• Preview procurement and logistics related procedures or policies to improve workflow.
• Practise professional responsibility and train pre-registration pharmacists, as needed.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Post Graduate in Pharmacy
• A registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional practice experience
• Possess Intergrity, strong interpersonal and analytical skills
