Hours Per Week: 38 (Part-time hours also available)
Remuneration: $37.46 – $56.30 per hour
Hospital experience is not mandatory. For those new to hospital pharmacy we will support you in your transition to the hospital environment with a structured training plan.

Where you’ll be working:
We have an opportunity for multiple pharmacists to join our dynamic team! You will be working within a NSW Health Public Hospital in the beautiful Hasting Macleay region, and will have the opportunity to rotate between both of our state-of-the-art facilities, Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Kempsey District Hospital.
Port Macquarie Base Hospital is a 228 bed level five facility with a 24-hour Emergency Department and a range of specialist serviced including intensive care, cardiology, geriatric, rheumatology, stroke, respiratory, oncology, renal dialysis, general medicine, orthopaedic, urology, vascular, general surgery, mental health, paediatrics and obstetrics.
Kempsey District Hospital is an 81 bed level three facility with a level four 24-hour Emergency Department and a range of specialist services including high dependency, general medicine, surgical day procedure, obstetrics, drug and alcohol, mental health, renal dialysis and rehabilitation.
About the role:
As a rotational ward pharmacist, you will provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, support quality use of medicines, deliver of education to our multidisciplinary team, and provide medicines information to patients and carers.

About you:
As an AHPRA registered pharmacist with Australian based pharmacy experience, you will have a team orientated attitude, a focus on delivering exceptional service and care to patients, and the ability to manage your own workload with good communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of health professionals. You will be highly driven and have high attention to detail and a passion for building on your clinical skills and knowledge.
Our successful applicants will be supported by a network of pharmacists, including Director of Pharmacy and Team Leader Pharmacist. Access to regular education is an integral part of our workplace, including ward in-services, Grand Rounds and national Icon Group sessions.
