Job Duties

1. Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or diploma or degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
2. Previous experience (min 3 years) working as a legal executive/paralegal in a law firm, corporate legal department, or shipping-related industry.
3. Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures, with specific knowledge of maritime law, EPC contracts and shipping regulations preferred.

Successful applicants would be required to assist in civil as well as criminal matters. Researching skills would be invaluable.

Bulk of matters handled by the firm are civil claims. Role requires conducting of interviews with clients, obtaining of evidentiary documents, case building, preparation of Court documents, affidavits, submissions, etc.

As for criminal matters, interview of clients, prison visits, preparation of criminal representations, mitigations pleas, Case for the Defence, trial, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the compliance and efficient operations of the dormitories;
• Daily check and report on vice activities of residents pertaining to drug abuse, theft, alcohol intoxication, violence, peddling of contraband cigarettes and illegal works outside of Company;
• Liaise with relevant government authorities and dormitory management for all dormitory matters;

This is a temporary fixed term position to cover maternity leave of an employee.

Primary functions:

· Reporting to the VP - Legal , the candidate will assist in all the Legal & Secretariat affairs of the Group’s regional businesses and companies;

Job Scopes:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in law, legal studies or equivalent and/or at least 2-3 years’ working experience supporting legal matters in law firms.
