The Operations Director will be responsible for all aspects of Cirata solar plant operations, including personnel safety, oversee daily work activities, review work schedules, scheduling maintenances, maintaining project availability, the training and safety of all technicians and contractors, and communicating with the management team, managing of all project activities and processes and providing appropriate levels of PV Plant Operations and Maintenance management advice whenever required.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are carried out to a high standard in accordance with Shareholder/Company requirements and are transparent supported by appropriate documentation.
The Operations Director will also be responsible for the coordination of a team dedicated to the implementation and improvement of Predictive and Corrective actions related to O&M works and for ensuring that all members of the Project teams comply with Shareholder and Lender requirements on O&M procedures to protect the Project Company against current and future liabilities while respecting the environment and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

A Chief Mechanical Engineer is required to join a market leading Innovative Industrial an Off-Road Systems Company that nearly 100 years old and is a leading UK supplier with significant growth expectations, so an exceptional time to join the organisation. The Chief Mechanical Engineer will be Reporting to the Operations Director.
The Chief Mechanical Engineer will be part of a small but growing team, working on designs for Industrial Systems and related off-road products for the rail and mining sector. The products and size of platforms range dependent on project and end client and are powered by Diesel, electric, battery or hybrid technologies. This Chief Mechanical Engineer opportunity is a chance to join a team that is close working with all employees, including the Directors, Engineers and support personnel.
Chief Mechanical Engineer - Essential Criteria
• Degree in a related subject (BEng, BSc) - Mechanical or Product Design Engineering
• Experienced within an engineering and product design environment.
• Ability to lead a team of engineers.
• Ability to liaise with the electrical engineers and other departments
• Commutable to the South Derby area.
Chief Mechanical Engineer - Key Responsibilities and Experience Required
• To mechanically design products in 3D, including 2D detail production drawings.
• Update existing designs, in conjunction with the electrical design engineers.
• Supporting the technical author as required.
• Able to work with an ERP system (Microsoft NAV or similar).
• Able to work with associated Bills of Materials.
• Skilled with 3D CAD (ideally Autodesk Inventor or Similar).
• Skilled with hand calculations and FEA Design experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and large fabrications.
• Experienced with a low volume product experience.
• Able to Support production with technical enquiries.
• Preferred Industrial, Rail or Off-Road product design experience
Hours and Holidays
• 37 hours/week
• Hybrid working available if needed
• 7.30 - 16.00 Mon to Thurs
• 7.30 - 12.30 Fri
• 25 days + 8 statutory holidays

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Management and Strategy team within the Asset Management Operations responsible for leading the execution of key strategic initiatives within the organization, working with stakeholders across Operations and the broader Asset Management platform.
