• The candidate will support the customer’s Asbestos, Lead, Environmental Compliance, OSH Compliance, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Safety Training, Drinking Water, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), and Pandemic programs.

Required Qualifications:

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust’s Pathology Centre are looking for a dynamic, caring, and enthusiastic Pathology IT Manager.

The successful applicant will be working closely with other members of the Pathology leadership team, across our three hospital sites, to deliver a quality, patient-focused service. The Pathology Centre is a vibrant team, continually looking for ways to develop innovative ideas and ways of working, ensuring our services continue to match the rapid pace of growth in diagnostic advances. This role will also be a significant part of wider Pathology network development.
• To develop, deliver and support systems that enable the management and analysis of laboratory data across all pathology disciplines.
• To undertake and be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of complex, specialised and non-routine projects requiring high level informatics expertise and project management skills.
• The post holder will lead on laboratory informatics for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, The Princess Royal Hospital and The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital and provide expert advice to pathology colleagues on information management, data extraction, analysis and the delivery of reports.
• The post holder will advise senior management in the development of pathology information strategies and lead service development and improvements in-line with the objectives within departmental and Trusts business plans.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is the main provider of acute hospital care for more than 500,000 people from Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.
