The Job/What You'll Do:

As a member of the Growth Enablement team, this internship will focus on helping make our Sales teams better. In order to do so, you will be exposed to a wide range of sales-support disciples (i.e. methodologies, processes, technology, content and training) and teams (i.e. Business Consulting, Marking, Digital etc…).  Our goal with this internship is to give you a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to run an enterprise sales organization and the technology they use. This role represents an exciting opportunity for a candidate that wants to be exposed to a world class sale organization, be challenged to think creatively and to create process and infrastructure that will support and streamline the sales process.

Responsibilities:

• Learn best practices for improving sales teams and processes
• Gain work experience with business operations in a financial services-related field

Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FDIC-insured institutions’ compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending. 

Under the direction and supervision of an Examiner-in-Charge or higher grade team member, the incumbent will participate in and/or independently perform the following:

- Assesses the adequacy and determines the strength of the Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including he elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures) to ensure ongoing compliance as related to the particular regulation under review. Conducts reviews and assessments of the following:

• Examines initial disclosures, periodic statements, advertisements, and other information to evaluate procedures and reviews for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examines closed-end non-real estate credit transactions for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Reviews the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act loan application register for accuracy and assesses the bank's overall reporting procedures.
• Reviews adverse action notices for compliance, and to gain a cursory exposure to applicable lending-related regulations.
• Examines a sample of residential, consumer, commercial and agricultural files to determine compliance.
• Reviews applicable regulations and examination manual to become informed about the CRA.

- Participates in discussing the overall examination process including evaluating the bank's Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of polices, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures). Ask questions to gain clarification and understanding of examination policies and procedures.

- Observes the interaction between the FDIC and Bank personnel.

- Responds to questions from other examiners regarding his/her section of the Report of Examination.

- Prepares a summary of each performance factor describing why rating was assigned.

- With the assistance of an experienced examiner, participates in meetings as appropriate.

• Assist in the preparation of information requisite to a thorough analysis of the earnings of an institution.
• Prepare drafts of schedules, exhibits, and comments for inclusion in the completed report of examination.

• Review liquidity including the analysis of fluctuations in loans, securities, deposits, and borrowings.

A Substation or Line Technician Summer Intern will assist a higher-level technician in activities associated with substation construction and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clearly understand the importance of company safe work practices and safety rules

• Basic understanding of the Human Performance Tools and requirements 
• Basic understanding of the isolation of substation and line equipment and grounding practices
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communications skills
• Basic understanding of electrical drawings (substation equipment schematics and power system drawings)
• Basic understanding of NERC compliance and the importance for accurate data and timely completion of assigned work
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Develops the ability to think methodically and arrange activities in logical order

Role

• Data Extraction and Analysis: extract and analyse large volumes of data from various sources. Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Skillsets and Experience

• At least 4years of relevant working experience in data analytics, process improvement, and digital transformation.
• Experience using data analytics tools and techniques to extract, analyze, and visualize large volumes of data.
• Experience using robotics and intelligence tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve work processes.
• Experience using business intelligence tools to create dashboards and reports that communicate data insights.
