The Role - Data Manager
Reporting into the Head of IT Services, you will be responsible for understanding the structure, format and flow of data between multiple internal and external systems. You will work with stakeholders to ensure data is managed effectively and in a way to allow maximum interpretation, informing wider stakeholders of how the business is doing, providing an insight into processes and identifying where improvements could be made. You will also work to ensure data held is accurate and that corresponding datasets reconcile with the correct master relationship. The post holder will be an experienced people manager and the role will be suited to those who have a background in database administration, reporting, data flow management, data interrogation and data analysis.
The role will primary focus at supporting Data Management strategies for Pinnacle Service Families working in conjunction with our external technical service provider.
The person fulfilling the role must have a flexible approach to delivery and be used to handling complex change with multiple stakeholders.
Duties/Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all underlying API’s for various connected applications under the FIDS contract for PSF.
• End to end ownership of data workflows for key IT applications
• Continually develop data management strategies.
• Maintain a clear vision of the overall Project Landscape effecting PSF.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results.
• Work with our strategic IT partner to implement a robust data warehousing solution for PSF landscape.
• Work with the PSF Leadership team to identify areas for improvement and provide support improve data reporting capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills
• Demonstrable experience of successfully operating in an equivalent role.
• Able to devise and implement effective systems and processes for quality assurance and compliance
• Proficiency with wider databases and data management technologies – SQL, SAP Business Objects, Power BI etc.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Measurable success in the delivery of cost efficiencies and margin improvements across contracts
• Ability to engage and influence at a senior level, both within the organisation and externally
• Agile and ability to multi-task, pivot and prioritise different projects
• Great verbal and written communication skills, and excellent programme and project management skills

Summary

Purpose:

As a Senior Manager, Technical Solutions, you will be responsible for developing and managing technical solutions in Data Centre Engineering projects from inception to completion, developing pre-sales solutions by coordinating closely with the Commercial team, and working with various investment stakeholders to assess feasibility of Pre-deals. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the job responsibilities are completed with a viable technical and budget proposals within time limits. You will coordinate with the Project Management team and provide Project Management inputs and considerations across your job responsibilities. You may be expected to travel for work to support your projects and customers when required.
• Familiar with the design and construction of Data Centres, and working with knowledge of all technical disciplines, typical customer requirements and standard Basis of Design
• As the Mechanical Specialist of DC&N Technical Solutions team, to be responsible for constant review and update to the Basis of Design
• Execute the technical qualification, planning and development of technical solution for prospective deals as the Technical Solutions Head of Department shall direct. Manage and generate technical solution, project cost and planning structure for prospective deal engagements and investment approval.
• Provide project scheduling and construction process assessment for all technical solutions, pre-projects, pre-deals and pre-sales solution, and perform necessary organization and handover documentations to the Project team for delivery, and provide necessary support and follow up where required

Requirements:
• Professional experience in Data Centre or equivalent design and construction work etc.
• Good knowledge of variable design standards, including BICSI, TIA, Uptime Institute Tier Standard, etc.
• Ability carry out technical solution discussions effectively with multi-function teams
• Good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals. High desire for innovation and learning
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
• Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration
