Contract period : 15 May 24 – 15 Nov 24 (Service not required during school holidays, unless otherwise informed)
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of half an hour lunch break
• Fridays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of half an hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
The services required are set out as follows:
Part 1: Holding Area Duty
1. Stationed at Holding Area from 7.30 am to 1.45 pm/2.15 pm daily, according to a duty roster planned by HOD Student Management.
2. Take attendance of students who report after 7.30 am, key in the info on Excel worksheet (student name, class, reporting time at Holding Area) and report to the relevant personnel in charge.
3. Attend to unwell students who are sent by their teachers to the Holding Area. Duty includes calling the student’s parent to fetch their child to see a doctor and prepare the blue form for the student to be allowed to leave the school with the parent. Monitor the students waiting for their parents at the Holding Area, to ensure that the students are safe and accounted for. Compile data daily to send to HOD in charge.
4. The duty schedule at Holding Area will include doing cyber patrol to monitor and identify social media posts by our students, and report posts that are of concern to HOD Student Management: for example, students posting offensive comments about other students, about the school; posting inappropriate/offensive photos of themselves or other students (breach PDPA).
Part 2: Detention Duty
5. 1.45pm/2.15 pm to 4.30 pm – deployed to supervise students serving detention, according to schedule planned by HOD Student Management.
6. Design and implement lesson package to educate students: self-management and time management to report to school early; self-discipline to stay clear of offences such as vaping, smoking, fighting, and bullying, including cyber bullying.
Part 3: Patrol around the school
The duty schedule will also include patrol outside the school after dismissal time - patrol the neighbourhood to monitor our students’ behaviour, disperse groups of our students who may be gathering around the neighbourhood (void decks around Tampines Street 34, Street 33, Street 32, T Mart MacDonald’s), and advise students to go home.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• Preferably at least GCE ‘O’ Level qualifications. Salary ranges from $9 - $12 per hour depending on relevant working experience.
• Preferably at least 2 years’ experience in similar position and preferably in a School Environment. Working experience in Police Force /Security Services would be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel. PowerPoint and Words, and be IT savvy
• Meticulous, responsible and familiar with Cyber Patrol
• Competent in the use of social media
• Able to work independently as well as able to communicate clearly and patiently to students and parents
