You will serve as a Purchase Request (PR) Creator and Government Purchase Card (GPC) Buyer in the Procurement Branch of the Property Management Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division.
You will interface with NSWC Panama City Engineers, Technicians, and Administrative Specialists by researching, preparing, and completing purchase requisitions in compliance with current DoD/Navy directives.
You will serve as an interface between departments and the Navy Supply System.
You will provide end-to-end support for document creation and procurement tracking of all Purchase Requisition document types to ensure they are adequately supported.
You will screen requisition forms to ensure technical completeness and compliance with local and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) acquisition guidelines and requirements.
You will analyze requirements against a myriad of complex regulatory and business rules to ensure compliance and completeness.
You will provide status of all PRs yet to have been obligated and work with vendors and originators to ascertain best solutions to meet government, organizational, and requirement generator needs.
You will interface with vendors and analyze data from several Navy Supply System and independent databases to determine the requisition method which best meets the needs of the customer while satisfying all financial and regulatory requirements.
You will track all Purchase Requisitions under purview and communicate with requisition originator as necessary until approval is granted.
You will interface with Contracts Department personnel and Comptroller and other technical personnel to identify and correct process and system issues.
You will conduct Navy Purchase Card transactions in accordance with relevant statues, regulations, and command policies.
You will document transactions, review the monthly Purchase Card statement to ensure all changes are proper and accurate, identify and analyze any variances, make the appropriate corrections and forward to the Approving Official.
