Main responsibilities
Application monitoring responsibilities
Ø Define and implement application monitoring in tandem with the build team
Ø Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user requests by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
Ø Support overnight batches that take kick starts from early morning to afternoons (SGT) to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
Ø Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly runs.
Incidents and Requests management (business users and others IT teams)
Ø Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to the business users (trader, risk manager, market risk monitoring operator, back-office and middle-office
analyst, market data administrator
Ø Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests
Problem management and continuous improvement
v Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application within the scope of the team, in coordination with the build team and the operations team
v Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up with the resolution, potentially contributing to the definition of a long term solution.
v Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.
The Run Specialist should have a pro-active mindset in security, incident preventive measures, productivity and global improvement of the quality of service. Candidate should have a strong appetite in the capital market functional business.
Qualifications and Profile
Candidates should have 6+ years experience in support activity.
- Candidates should have ITIL certification or willing to take study for it.
- Strong knowledge in XML, SQL, PL/SQL, MQ Series, CFT and Control-M.
- Knowledge of monitoring solution (E.g ITRS Geneos)
- Good knowledge Microsoft Office
- Careful observance of standards and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical or troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Autonomous, self - motivated and excellent team player
- Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management
- Self-starter and ambitious
Good to Have
- General banking and finance understanding and knowledge
- Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)
- Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO systems (E.g. Summit, Kondor+, Murex…)
- Experience in reconciliation systems like Intellimatch
Education & Work Experience:
- Intermediate level (min. 5 years)
- Relevant Master’s degree or its equivalent
Shift Timings:
Candidate will have to work in shifts that ensures 24 hr/5.5 support.
