You will play an important role, such as:

1. Assist Resident Doctor during consultations (onlyne & physical), treatment procedures and appointment scheduling.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 5 Nurse to join the Renal Day Case Unit The Renal Day Case Unit is a day unit situated on the fifth floor next to ward 50 .

This area involve providing care and support for patients undergoing for renal procedures as a day case basis. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent clinical experience with the ability to study at masters level, have excellent communication skills and be able to work autonomously. The role requires the trainee to undertake the Diagnostic Hysteroscopy and Therapeutic Management course at a recognised university. The course takes up to two years and the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to undertake this. During your training, the candidate will be expected to develop a high level of personal and professional autonomy to enable you to make clinical judgements, take responsibility for your patient and the procedure during diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures to ensure a successful patient based outcome within the acute setting. Colposcopy is based within The Womens Health Unit where a number of out-patient clinics provide person centred care for women with a wide variety of gynaecological needs. These clinics include urogynaecology, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and the termination of pregnancy service. The gynaecology outpatient department is also attached to the unit and nursing care rotates throughout the two departments. Although usual hours of work for the womens health unit are from Monday to Friday 08:00- 17:30 (times dependent on clinical sessions allocated) there may be occasional requirement for weekend and evening clinical sessions.
