Situated in the rural village of Auchinleck in East Ayrshire, Glennie House is a purpose built 52 bedded care home which offers specialist nursing, residential and dementia care. The home also offers respite stays on a long term and short term basis to give home carers a much-needed break. Facilities at home include en-suite bedrooms, spacious lounges, an on-site hair salon, attractive grounds with secure residents’ garden and a guest room which relatives can reserve for overnight stays. Wheelchair access is available throughout. A restaurant standard kitchen provides freshly prepared meals tailored to the residents’ preferences and needs. Care manager Jill Veitch is an experienced manager and is qualified as a general nurse. The home offers excellent training and support to the care team to allow them to take care of the varied needs of residents, from specialist support to general assistance with everyday activities, while also respecting the residents’ need to live independent and dignified lives. The home also offers training, information and support to the relatives of residents to help them better understand the treatment and care requirements of their loved-one. The home benefits from having built good relationships with the local council, GPs, physiotherapists, district nurses, social workers and other visiting healthcare professionals. The Activities Coordinators at Glennie House provide a full programme of activities, entertainment and events for residents to choose from. The home maintains strong community links and access to a mini bus means that residents can enjoy day trips out.

The Belvedere is situated in Alderley Edge, Cheshire and specialises in nursing dementia care for up to 41 residents. The Home three storey purpose built home opened in June 2009 with the comfort of each resident in mind. Belvedere has a lounge on each floor, including a dining room with kitchen facilities, comfortable seating and opulent decor. There are also two snoozlem areas and a secure garden. The Belvedere works closely with its neighbour, Cavendish Court who have the same owners, which allows both homes to maintain a flexible service in relation to individual needs and contact with numerous health experts. All residents receive their own care packages in order to ensure they receive the health, attention and dietary requirements that health professionals indicate will improve their well-being.

Customer Team Member
Location: Mile Oak Road, Portslade, Brighton, BN41 2RB
Pay: £12 per hour
Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time
Working pattern: Bakery shifts from 6am on Saturday and Sunday, to be discussed at interview.
