The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for two (2) Stress Engineers, specialized in Metallic and composite Structures (f/m) to join our team based in Mirabel, Québec within the Customer Services department.

The In-Service structure Engineering department  is in charge of providing efficient repair solutions to A220 customers.

You will be part of a team supporting the airline in-service fleet on repairs of aircraft structure and is responsible for justifications from a static stress point of view in a timely manner. As part of the Customer Service Team, you are performing complex static and damage tolerance analysis for metallic and composite parts while working in close collaboration with design colleagues to provide repair solutions. Methods include the use of both classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop efficient repair solutions to satisfy airworthiness requirements and customers (Airlines/Maintenance Overhaul and repair).

Your working environment: 

The A220 Family activities are based in Mirabel, Quebec, near Montreal, where the operations include programme management, engineering, customer support & services, as well as the programme’s main final assembly line. We make it fly in Mirabel!

Your challenges: 

You will be responsible for analyzing damage reports and approving repair solutions from a stress point of view, in accordance with relevant certification requirements of all components and/or assemblies of the A220 structures (the whole Airframe). 

You will be answering complex challenges in a multifunctional context, using all possible options that are matching customer needs.

You will also work within a transnational community & extended team with the Toulouse and Australia sites, typically liaising with them on a daily basis. 

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Interact with a multidisciplinary team in the development of structural repair solutions;
• Perform static strength and durability analyses for specific or generic structural metallic and composite repairs in support to the A220 fleet;
• Support the completion of various A220 aircraft structural manuals such as Aircraft Structural Repair Publication (ASRP) and Aircraft Maintenance Publication (AMP);
• Prepare or review stress analysis reports covering repairs or allowable damage limits to metallic structures and composites;
• Present generic repair analyses to Transport Canada engineering team for concurrence.

• Coordinating proposed repair solution with other A220 actors and considering the implications of Airworthiness regulations, Materials and Processes, Aerodynamic effects and any other function as required,

• Delivering repair instructions in accordance with the relevant certification/airworthiness requirements and Airbus process and methods.

This role may involve some travel for business and as such you must be able and willing to travel accordingly.

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a relevant experience of minimum of eight (8) years in stress analysis in the aerospace industry;

· Supervise and budget for quality gift items as appropriate. Ensure correct usage of hotel logo on gift items as stipulated in corporate ID manual.

Job Description Summary

The Chief Engineer (CE) is the onsite leader of building, equipment and grounds condition of the hotel.

This position will lead and/or perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel. The CE is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of the hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The CE’s focus on guest and associate satisfaction, expense control and product quality and will lead to their contribution to the overall goals of the hotel.  This role is part of the Executive Leadership Team for the hotel. $500 of the sign on bonus will be paid at the time of hire and the remaining $500 at 90 days
