We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Property & Investments Finance team as a Property Finance Analyst.
The Property & Investments Finance team forms part of a larger Commercial Finance team consisting of Commercial & Marketing, Healthcare Finance, Online & Distribution, Procurement and Retail Finance.
The team is made up of 7 Finance Analysts and Management Accountants providing financial analysis and support to the Property Director and the Property Leadership team.
The team own the Property running costs from a Finance perspective and act as valued business partners, ensuring that the analysis provided supports decision making.
The team produce Store Investment proposals including New Stores, Lease Renewals and Store Refits, working closely with the Property Function in securing approval for these proposals from the UK Investment Committee and subsequent approval from our Group Finance function based in Hong Kong.
Job Purpose
This is a key role within the Property and Investments Finance team that has the responsibility for the financial management of the Property Costs of Superdrug, c.800 Stores and working with the Senior Property Finance Analyst in improving the processes in these areas. You will also be involved with the management of the Rent costs for our sister company Savers, c.500 stores.
You will act as the Finance Business Partner for members of the Property Function, helping them with queries, forecasting and budgeting and providing them with information that enables them to deliver their company targets and business profitability.
Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
Property Costs
Develop a thorough understanding of all costs controlled by the Property Function, including, but not limited to Rent, Rates and Service Charges.
As part of month end processes, you will own the posting of certain Property Costs ensuring that there are robust controls in place, all costs are accurately accounted for and Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed with a high degree of insight.
Prepare flash reports prior to month end and participate in month end meetings to provide insight into variances where appropriate.
Support a selection of Property Cost Centres at month end
Responsible for updating Oracle Property Manager on a monthly basis for all changes in leases and assisting the Senior Finance Analyst with other tasks required for IFRS16 Reporting.
Work closely with the Senior Finance Analyst in establishing regular reporting and analysis of Property Costs.
Support the Senior Finance Analyst with the Quarterly Forecasting and the Annual Budgeting process for Property Costs.
Substitute for the Senior Finance Analyst in his/her absence.
Other:
Develop an understanding of all areas controlled by the Property function in order to support on adhoc analysis / help provide support to the wider Property and Investments Finance team where appropriate.
Person Specification:

Wholesale Banking Credit Risk Management department is looking for a Financial Risk Expert for the Professional Real Estate (PRE) Risk department.
The Financial Risk Specialist is a senior risk partner to the front office in (1) executing major complex PRE client transactions from origination to closing, (2) managing the credit risk of an assigned client portfolio and (3) sparring with Sector Leads on strategy and portfolio management.

The team

About the Role

The Quant Analyst Manager will be working as part of the Front Office Quants and Analytics team towards Sky platform build and support and will be based in Singapore. Sky is an ANZ-developed front-to-back integrated pricing and risk management system that provides a single source of real time pricing, valuation and risk management for markets related activity across ANZ. Launched in 2014, it has grown from being a rates-only platform to the preferred solution for all products at ANZ.
The role requires product and modelling knowledge and experience in one or more of the following asset classes:
a) Interest Rate Exotics
b) FX Options and Exotics
c) Commodity derivatives
d) Credit derivatives.
Cross asset product knowledge including prior experience of XVA framework (CVA, FVA, RWA, or KVA) modelling approaches, and other aspects of counterparty credit risk management would be greatly advantageous. Also, familiarity with software development lifecycle and processes (e.g., testing, code reviews, source control and issue tracking) is essential.
What will your day look like?
(a) Design, implement, test, and support the core analytics library for Markets Front Office across multiple asset classes.
(b) Develop pricing and risk models, leveraging advanced financial mathematics, statistical and probabilistic methods, as well as numerical methods such as Monte Carlo and Partial Differential Equation solvers. The primary programing language used in the core Sky library development is C++.

How we use our workplaces is changing and we have an exciting opportunity to join the Construction and Standards Team within Future Workplace team (FWP) working in the Places division of People and Places. The FWP team are leading the Group's new location strategy, ensuring we have the right buildings in the right location to meet the needs of our business units and to attract and retain the best talent.

In this role we will train you in the property industry and start you on a path towards being a property professional in an exciting industry, you will received mentorship from technical professionals from within the team working on both office and retail projects. We will sponsor you to achieve a professional qualification as part of your development so you can use this in your future career journey. (Association of Project Management Qualification)
