The Contract Manager is required to work closely with internal clients, Procurement Category Managers as well as the internal stakeholders from other business units to draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of Procurement contracts.
Responsibilities
· Review and amend internal procurement contracts to ensure compliance with the Group’s contract policy.
· Advise internal stakeholders on implications of contract terms.
· Advise and support internal stakeholders on contractual negotiations with suppliers.
· Where required, provide sound legal advice within a fast paced and dynamic working environment to business units.
· Liaise with internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external clients to obtain and address feedback on commercial contracts and operational issues.
· Work with other internal stakeholders both in Singapore and Australia to ensure internal policies and corporate governance are strictly adhered to.
· Provide education and training to business units on matters relating to the Group’s procurement contract policy and contracting process from time to time; and manage compliance programs and policies/procedures.
· Assist Legal Counsels in handling disputes matters.
· Regular tracking and reporting on contracts reviewed.
· Handle on-going contract issues and change management. Recommend changes and best practices.
· Be involved in user experience improvement initiatives related to the contracting and/or procurement process.
Requirements
· Degree in Law
· 3-5 years of Post Qualification Experience (PQE) acquired in a reputable local law firm or in-house in a telecommunication and/or IT related organisation.
· Excellent knowledge of local laws and regulations
· Excellent drafting and negotiation skills are required
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
· Able to manage internal customers effectively and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment to meet critical deadlines
· Able to work well both independently as a legal professional and custodian of the company’s policies and as well as working collaboratively as part of a team
· A team player with excellent inter-personal skills and ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
