The Role
Oversee delivery of small works up to £25k in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies. These projects will typically include - fencing/ potholes/leaking flat roofs/ paddocks/ electrical faults
*Monitor contractors to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks to achieve safe working, timely delivery and required quality and all performance indicators are consistently achieved.
* Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard.
*Ensure all works are delivered to the relevant H&S standards/rules.
*Deliver works to the MOD's carbon reduction and sustainability targets.
*Manage cost and stakeholder expectation through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money.
*Ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
*Progress tasks end to end through the Maximo IT management system

About You
You will have a proven background in either FM or managing numerous small refurbs and maintenance projects.
*HND/HNC level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
*Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g. SMSTS or similar)
*Developed IT skills (e.g. Excel, Word etc.)
*Demonstrable experience of supervising staff including external contractors
Management of costs,Planning, directing and controlling activities
Management of Safe Systems of Works

Main Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management

• Plan, control and review client work to ensure that the jobs are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible by allocating the resources available
• Hold pre-audit meetings with clients where appropriate, to establish the events that have had an impact on the business and any areas needing particular attention
• Prepare a time budget for each assignment.
• Review all work received as soon as possible, ensuring that any issues arising are referred back to the audit staff for completion before any outstanding issues are drawn to the attention of the Partner
• Ensure that files are complete and that audit work is sufficient to enable the Partner to form an opinion on the accounts, bearing in mind the balance between cost and benefit
• Monitor work in progress on all jobs within the portfolio, communicating any potential problems and write offs to the Partner's attention on a timely basis
• Ensure all hours worked on any client are recorded correctly, enabling a true reflection of the profitability of the job to be shown
• Prepare fee schedules and bill for Partner review and approval, explaining any extra charges also identifying and explaining any write offs or profits

Team Management

• Deal with day to day staff issues which may include holidays, courses, conflicts, quality of work, motivation, monitoring chargeable and non chargeable hours
• Specific office responsibilities e.g. technical contact, specific technical area expert, office accounts, client bank accounts, IT contact, marketing committee, client care committee, maintenance of the office work planner.

Business development, advisory and ad hoc work

• Identify opportunities for additional services that the firm can provide to clients
• Identify and target new clients through networking, marketing and client referrals
• Ad-hoc project work which may include compliance or value added services
• Be proactive in involving other experts i.e. Corporate Finance, Tax, Financial Services where relevant · Promote and use marketing materials and other such resources

Qualifications and Skills

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)

• Ensuring robust cost management is undertaken at all times
• Accurate live forecasting taking into account the project programme
• Actual costs are properly monitored and assessed against the baseline estimate. In particular, all site costs including direct labour, plant & materials, all staff bookings, costs and challenge and variance to the plans.
• Providing reports on actual costs vs estimate and identifying underlying reasons for any variance and resolution
• Ensure that the framework contract is properly administered
• Ensuring that proper records are kept so that all financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available
• Proactive management of opportunities including identifying and implementing plans to realise.
• Ensuring that all identified efficiencies are monitored as to progress and report

What you'll need to succeed

• Educated to Degree/HNC level or equivalent
• RICS/CIOB/CICES
• Delivery of multiple and or complex projects ranging in values from £100k to multi million pound projects with experience with contract administration (working with NEC suite of contracts)

Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager, you will hold a critical role in the call centre, overseeing complaints. Your responsibilities will span various areas: developing operational policies, analysing performance data, managing the complaints and improving processes.
Location North Staffordshire/South Cheshire
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to enhance organisational processes, focusing on quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with FCA and TCF regulations.
• Lead and motivate the team by setting clear performance expectations.
• Regularly review individual and team progress and take proactive measures to address performance gaps.
• Manage client relationships at an operational level, coordinating information requests and timely delivery.
• Explore ways to improve claim handling quality and processes, aiming to boost customer experience and NPS scores.
• Plan, execute, and communicate contact centre strategies and campaign performance aligned with broader business needs.
• Own the feedback process and analyse data to drive improvements.
• Uphold our data protection and information security policies and procedures.
• ️ Foster open and honest two-way communication, ensuring key messages are disseminated.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in a similar position in a contact centre environment
• Demonstrated skills in proactive leadership, particularly in developing and motivating a call centre team.
• Highly collaborative, resilient, determined, and confident.
• A proven track record of , especially within the contact centre.
• A focus on results and commercial awareness.
• Ability to think creatively to solve challenges.
• Proficiency in FCA regulations, with the ability to mentor and educate others on this topic.
• Strong knowledge of reporting, analysis, and trend spotting across all business areas.
• A proactive mindset with a sharp focus on process improvement.
