Your new role
Working within the busy quality team, the 3 key areas of the responsibilities are:
Support Quality Department to ensure continued certification to ISO 9001.Performing internal audits on the QMS, in accordance with ISO 9001.Creation, implementation, and review of QMS Documented information.Supporting Quality Manager during external audits.
- Supplier Quality Assurance
Support Goods Inwards inspection and continue development of the supplier monitoring system to ensure quality of the product received.Perform monthly Vendor Rating of key suppliers against set performance criteria ensuring improved supplier performance (performing supplier visits / audits when applicable).Liaise and communicate with Purchasing Department & Suppliers on Quality issues.
Conduct FAI's & PPAP's in accordance with Customer requirements.
Creation of process flow diagrams / quality plans for new products including developing programs for new product, patrol, in-process, and final release inspection routines.
Maintain a system for controlling and tracking concession requests and problem reports to customers.
Organise disposition of rejected product and collate information for reporting purposes – actively support MRB process.
Conduct process and product RCCA investigations using the 8D methodology.
Support weekly Quality meetings that review Quality Statistics, Customer returns and establish the necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Produce monthly analysis on departmental and business critical KPI's.
Maintenance and review of the Calibration System.
Support continual improvement initiatives.
Customer point of contact for queries and information.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 2 year's previous experience as a quality engineer, ideally in manufacturing and will have a 3rd level qualification such as a degree, HND or similar.
