MAINTENANCE SCHEDULER
Where will you work: Onsite at Carlsbad, NM (76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256)
Responsible for providing plant maintenance schedules that are coordinated with plant operations and optimize the utilization of maintenance resources. This position interacts with Production Coordinators, Maintenance Superintendents, Planners and Maintenance Supervisors to negotiate schedules that meet demands while promoting efficiency that minimizes costs. As time allows, this position provides additional planning resources to the areas with the highest backlog of work to be planned. Also, assists with monitoring metrics.
Schedule: This is a day shift, salaried/non-exempt position (eligible for overtime) with every other Friday off (9/80 schedule).

Main activities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop / Maintain a comprehensive equipment work and cost history database.
2. Ensure highly planned utilization of technicians and on-time work completion utilizing lowest possible completion cost with minimum disruption to equipment operation.
3. 100% PMs scheduled and completed on time.
4. 100% compliance with all regulatory requirements.
5. Support the development of optimized preventive maintenance plan, delivering key objectives, goals, and strategies for work planning, including safety, regulatory and budget requirements compliance
6. Ensure that all maintenance plans (internal or by contractors) are compliant in terms of safety, regulatory and operational aligned with BD requirements, ensure liaison with material management and reliability
7. Validate the time, materials, resources and tools required to complete each job (PM/CM/Other activities) for the different sections.
8. Manage all planned and scheduled maintenance activities and ensure elimination of de-lays due to waiting for information, materials, equipment, other skills and tools.
9. Manage priorities and control maintenance status realization and propose actions for backlog reduction without risk for Operations.
10. Monitor and control recorded hours, ratio between preventive and corrective maintenance, planning index, schedule alignment and backlog trends and maintenance costs to identify priorities, trigger revision of frequency, duration and or resources in the maintenance plans and potential improvement projects.
11. Ensure up to date key process indicators and actions as well as relevant information to all stakeholders.
12. Ensure that management is practiced, that effective performance review structures are in place and that measurement and review drives continuous improvement projects of the systems of their responsibility.
13. Coordinate the work order generation based on maintenance plan and notifications/service requests, with Production planning to increase the planned work.
14. Ensure that all work meets all the required technical and EH&S specifications.
15. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Minimum Requirement:
High school diploma/GED required, AA/BS preferred
Minimum 2 years equipment and automation experience required
Medical device experience preferred
Maintenance software experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:
Assists in training of new lab employees and Lab Technicians with new test procedures, setups, etc.
Conducts tests, maintains records of work performed, verify data, summarizes and reports results

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in a regulated (cGMP preferred) environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using CMMS (ideally Maximo) and other maintenance planning tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
