EDUCATION OFFICERS (Secondary Levels)

If you have a professional teaching qualification (such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Education or Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education) and relevant content knowledge, we welcome you to join us as Education Officer for the following positions:

• Aesthetics (Music / Art & Design)
• English Language & Literature
• Mother Tongue (Chinese Language/Tamil Language)
• Humanities (Geography)

REQUIREMENTS

Possess relevant teaching qualifications.

• Experience in teaching the related programmes in local secondary schools/Junior College.
• Overseas teaching experience may be considered too.
• Passionate in educating and interacting with student

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day School matters, such as inspect and identify defects, manage and supervise maintenance including external works done by contractors.
• Oversee servicing, cleaning, projects upgrading and other maintenance works.
• Prepare necessary building and procurement documentation and contracts, if applicable.
• Attend and follow-up on enquiries from stakeholders and school staff.
• Provide support for media resource services, functions and equipment.
• Provide solutions or develop plans to solve technical/maintenance issues, including sourcing for contractors.
• Maintain close and regular communications with the vendors/contractors and ensure that all works are carried out smoothly.
• Handle all security matters including the security and Fire Alarm systems.
• Liaise with security personnel/organization with regards to all security matters.
• Assist in the booking for the various venues/facilities
• Provide simple repair jobs to minor electrical, carpentry and other works, etc
• Report & oversee all Repair/Maintenance work required daily
• Assist in all school events
• Manage the custodians
• Assist in the administration/preparation of onsite projects.
• Manage feedback/complains and report to the Estate Manager.
• Assist in handling queries from parents etc
• Any other duties assigned by the Estate Manager.

Job Requirements:

• NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in property or facilities management, facilities engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services.
• Able to work independently as well as a team player and able to work, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess good discipline and working attitude with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Good written and communication skills

Job Duties

School Fees Collection

• To update and maintain the school enrolment system
• To prepare Interbank Direct Credit Giro collection
• To monitor and follow-up on the outstanding receivables
• To coordinate with the Accounts Payable team on any refunds

Receipts

• To oversee and monitor collections from staff, parents, students etc
• To prepare bank-in slips for banking
• To enter receipts into the SAGE accounting system
• To file and record receipt vouchers

Reports

• To prepare periodic reports to the Ministry of Education
• To reconcile all fees scheme subsidies
• To prepare monthly Declaration of GEBiz Report
• To prepare reports for monthly and yearly closing
• To perform periodic update of the department’s policies and procedures
• Any other adhoc duties assigned by Reporting Officer

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma qualification
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Experience in a school setting is an advantage
• Proficiency in SAGE and Microsoft Excel
• Good command of oral and written English
• Team player and able to work under pressure
• Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and consultation for interpretation of procurement policies and procedures to end-users
• Manage purchasing cycle from invitation to quotation, evaluation of quotes, contract establishment, purchase orders and payment in accordance to the relevant IM policies
• Support contract management and supplier performance management
• Prepare periodic reports related to procurement
• Maintain and evaluate lists of current and prospective vendors/contractors/suppliers
• Manage suppliers' delivery of goods/services
• Analyze the procurement requirements and selects the most appropriate procurement methods based on interpretation and assessment of established policies, practices and experience
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, cost and delivery objectives
• Work closely with all other functions to improve purchasing procedures and contribute towards effective cost management
• Administer GeBiz-related requests and procedures across the procurement lifecycle; support relevant requests and clarifications
• Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• Diploma in related discipline, minimum GCE ’O’ level
• Prior procurement experience in an educational institution would be an advantage
• Hands-on knowledge on GeBiz
• Effective interpersonal skills with good command of English
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the school premises by conducting routine and preventive maintenance for relevant areas.
• Supervise and ensure term contractors/service providers carry out the routines and ad-hoc works in accordance to the contracts.
• Inspect the relevant works according to inspection schedules for environmental health and safety concerns.
• Submit necessary reports on any misuse of school properties including other reports like AOR with ITQ draft which require for the improvement of the school premises and also including authority submission. Prepare service contract, invitation of quotes and cost comparison if required.
• Attend to complaints/feedback, incidents and crisis situations and submit incident reports for relevant areas of work.
• Coordinate, attend meetings and/or inspections and follow-up with Authorities/Departments and services providers.
• Maintain the relevant M&E services and equipment within the school premises including carrying out daily routine checks on the system operation (e.g M&E, BMS System).
• Recommend and seek approval from manager for all repairs/replacement works relevant to areas assigned.
• Management of Assets and Equipment inclusive of spare parts inventory, monitoring of the stock card for use of consumables e.g. light tubes.
• To effectively communicate with internal stakeholders from executive management, external supplier partners and vendors.
• Conduct fire safety management according to SCDF requirements (if required)
• Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in the school are in good shape always.
• Ensure building fire escape route are free from obstruction and building fire escape plans are in place by conducting regular fire safety checks.
• Enforce safety codes and regulations/ guidelines within the school.
• Carry out training and enlightenment of co-workers or employees as regards with general fire safety rules and procedures.
• Any other duties assigned by the Manager

Job Requirements:
