They will establish and strengthen relationships with architects and corporate clients to drive market share and revenue growth in Japan.
The Business Development Manager will identify and capitalize on opportunities in the Corporate and Architectural sectors. Conducting market analysis and developing targeted strategies, the BDM aims to establish the company as a leading player in the outdoor heating solutions market. They will manage client relationships proactively, providing customized heating solutions for architects, designers, and corporate decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and trends in Japan's Corporate and Architectural sectors. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet or surpass sales goals and enhance market presence.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, and corporate executives. Work collaboratively with clients to assess their heating needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback through diligent CRM practices.
- Architectural Specification: Collaborate closely with architects and specifiers to ensure the company's products are preferred in project specifications. Provide expert technical support and comprehensive product information to facilitate the specification process.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Deliver compelling sales presentations to architects and corporate clients, highlighting the unique benefits of outdoor heating solutions. Develop and present customized proposals that address the specific requirements of each project.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Engage with the company's sales, marketing, and technical departments to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Share valuable market feedback to inform product development and guide adjustments to the marketing strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales in relevant industries. Must have a proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets, particularly in selling technical products, and be familiar with the Japanese market.
- Extensive knowledge of heating solutions, particularly outdoor heating, and experience collaborating with architects and specifiers.
- Proven networking abilities and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to influence others, reach consensus, and establish rapport.
- Exceptional command of both written and spoken Japanese and English, along with impressive presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough market analysis, develop strategic business plans, and solve problems effectively.
- Familiarity with technical product details, CRM software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrates integrity, customer focus, and a commitment to productivity and efficiency. Must be proactive, results-driven, and capable of effective planning and organization.
