Job Description

• Carry out duties as specified by WSH Act.

Summary

KMPT are pleased to offer a 2 year secondment working within the Women’s Outreach Service. The women's outreach service is a 2 year pilot project that has been developed as part of the women's secure blended services in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex secure care pathway (KSS). This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in leading and shaping a new service to improve outcomes for women.

The aims of the women’s service are to reduce the number of women placed within secure beds who do not benefit from secure care. To ensure that that principle of placement within the least restrictive environment is maintained and work with others to identify potential alternatives including effective community-based options and to benchmark services for women within the collaborative against known best practice nationally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing additional support to women referred from Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), and prison healthcare services where it is possible to support the care and treatment and subsequent discharge without the need to admit into a secure inpatient service supporting the principle of provision of care in the least restrictive environment.

You will provide highly specialist psychological assessments and formulation, undertake risk assessment and management, be responsible for implementing a range of highly specialist interventions and work collaboratively with partners. Provide expertise and specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to others.

The successful candidate will be HCPC registered with a master’s degree award of the BPS qualification in forensic psychiatry or equivalent. Have significant forensic experience including working with women in a forensic setting and have extensive experience of providing successful clinical leadership with a multi-disciplinary health provider context.

Job Purpose



Provision of support to the Directorate Manager in the Operational Delivery and performance management of medical specialties ensuring key access targets are maintained and sustained. Post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of a number of departments supporting clinical staff in the delivery of diagnostic services. The post holder will be expected to work independently to manage these departments, in line with service requirements and local/national policies.

This post also directly line manages the Assistant Directorate Managers and secretarial staff of the Directorate management team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Development of Directorate specialty teams, both clinical and non-clinical, who will lead the patient journey improving processes and patient experience
• Training and development of the specialty teams in terms of their knowledge and IT capability
• Supporting service improvement through analysis of data and undertaking capacity and demand analysis of services to support delivery of the 18 week RTT and cancer targets.
• Manage all delegated administration and clerical staff within the Directorate.
• Deputise for the Directorate Manager as required



Operational Management


• Management of the Assistant Directorate Managers, Directorate secretarial teamensuring key standards and performance is maintained.
• To manage on a day to day basis, the delivery of Trust access targets (cancer, 18 weeks and diagnostics) through appropriate implementation of the access policy
• Develop plans for each specialty to ensure that access targets are met in the short, medium and long term, using a structured and organised approach to capacity and demand analysis to identify shortfalls in capacity and take short-term action e.g. additional clinics, and develop longer-term solutions
• Organise additional capacity as required using meticulous planning to ensure that all elements of service provision are considered and organised to enable capacity to be maximised. This requires a structured approach to ensure that capacity short-falls are identified in advance to enable re-provision in a timely and organised manner across all specialties as required, and also flexibility to respond to changes in circumstances
• Keep up-to-date with current government and local policy for patient access and waiting times and be responsible for interpreting and applying this policy for services within the Directorate. This will require the development and introduction of local policies in keeping with national policy
• Ensure that effective lines of communication are established within the post holders areas of responsibility
• Represent the Directorate at daily bed meetings and escalate patient flow status to clinical teams.
• Ensure clinical incidents are appropriately investigated and risk registers/assessments are reviewed in a timely manner.

Communication & Leadership

• Communication across the Directorate on all issues relating to Quality Improvement, Performance Management and new IT processes and systems relevant the admin team
• Development and representation of complex concepts and process as part of this work. Working with staff to translate these complexities into improvements in processes
• Translating national policy, which may be complex or very contentious, relating to performance targets, patient access and waiting times in a form which is meaningful to all staff groups (clinical, secretarial, clerical) using a variety of communication styles to achieve this

As a Consultant Psychiatrist at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), you'll lead a collaborative team and provide high-quality care to the vibrant communities of Deal and its surrounding villages.

This is a community-based post where you will work flexibly and collaboratively with two other consultants in the South Kent Coast Community Mental Health Teams. Please note, we also have vacancies based in Dover and Folkestone. Please apply for each vacancy you are interested in.

Successful applicants will ideally have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register. You will be fully registered with the GMC, and have Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or achieve this within 3 months of appointment).
• To provide clinical leadership within the South Kent Coastal Community Mental Health Team alongside two other Consultant colleagues.
• The provide medical input as required to patients under care of the Community Mental Health Team
• To be actively involved in strengthening relationships with external agencies including the local CCG.
• To take an active leadership role in screening of referrals as well as assessment of new referrals jointly with other team members.

The Committee and Governance Officer will provide a comprehensive business administration support to the ICB’s corporate governance function. This will include the provision of a high level administrative support to the ICB board and its committees, attending specific meetings within the Lancashire and South Cumbria geography. The role will oversee the maintenance of the ICBs corporate registers of interests to ensure continued organisational compliance with associated policies and procedures in accordance with NHS legislation.

The core duties of this post will be to support the Board Secretary to ensure that an effective secretariat is in place to service the Board and committees of the ICB, whilst contributing to the development of the ICB governance arrangementsin light ofnational good practice guidance.

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) was formally established as a new statutory body on 1 July 2022, replacing the eight clinical commissioning groups across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Our role is to join up health and care services, improve people's health and wellbeing, and to make sure everyone has the same access to services and gets a positive experience from treatment. We also oversee how money and resource is utilised to ensure that funding is spent to ensure health services are effective, consistent and of high standard.

Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB is a highly complex organisation serving a population of over 1.8 million people.

The role will be varied and will adapt over time as the ICB develops. However, the postholder is expected to fulfil the following key functions:
• Support the Board Secretary/Governance Manager to ensure that an effective secretariat is in place to service the meetings of the integrated care board and its committees.
• Provide a high level of business administration to enable the board and its committees to operate as required within their terms of reference.
• Attend and minute specified meetings and accurately and appropriately record discussions and decisions taken; be responsible for the transportation and maintenance of equipment as required for board and committee meetings.
• Follow up meetings with action sheets and timely production of minutes for agreement with the relevant committee chair.
• Monitor action against agreed points and work closely with the Business Managers to the executives to ensure these are scheduled for matters arising or the forward plan as appropriate.
• Work closely with the Board Secretary/Governance Manager to contribute to the development of the board and committee governance arrangements in light of national good practice guidance.
• Ensure venues, equipment and refreshments are booked in advance for board meetings.
• Contribute to the development and implementation a forward annual plan of ICB business to ensure such business is appropriately dealt with within the annual corporate business cycle.
• Support the Board Secretary/Governance Manager in the coordination, planning and preparation of the board (including development sessions) and its committees’ agendas, reports and supporting papers and minutes, to optimise the use of time at meetings.
• Collate papers as necessary and identifying key actions in relation to the board and its committees.
• Working closely with the communication teams and the Board Secretary/Governance manager, ensure that all information on the ICB’s corporate web pages in respect of the board and its committees’ papers (where relevant) and related statutory documentation is accessible, accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure the minutes of the board and its committees are properly recorded, prepared for review and that the essence of discussions and decisions are captured succinctly and in accordance with best practice
• Support in the annual review of the effectiveness of the board and its committees so that they remain effective and appropriately constituted and their membership is refreshed as required; making recommendations for improvement to the ICB’s Board Secretary /Governance Manager.
• Developing, implement and ensure effective systems and processes for ensuring the establishment, maintenance and publication of the ICB’s registers; this would include, but not limited to:
• Policies and procedures
• Registers of interests including gifts and hospitality
• Organisations eligible to jointly nominate Partner Members
• Contribute to written reports for the ICB’s Audit Committee on the ICB’s compliance against the associated policies/procedures for managing conflicts of interests. Ensure all registers are accurate, professionally presented and available for public inspection including via the website.
• Advise on the corporate governance function, informing the ICB’s Board Secretary/Governance Manager of any changes required to support the successful delivery of key objectives.

Job Description:

· To assist Safety Manager on all safety, health, environmental, and welfare matters, to ensure the Project complies with its statutory obligations and safety requirements.

· To ensure the implementation and monitoring of appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

· To assist Safety Manager in liaising and co-ordinate with stakeholders, and other Consultants employed by Developer.

· To attend Main contractor’s daily toolbox briefings, conduct regular site safety inspections, and prepare report of observation and follow up on the rectification.

· To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.

· To familiarize with the risks and control measures related to each work activity.

· To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.

Requirement:

· At least 3 years of relevant experience in construction industry preferably 2 years with developer/main contractor

· Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 3years in Experience

· Has developed a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent

· Good communication skills and team player
