Position Summary:

The Commercial Business Controller – provides insights and recommendations to the Commercial Business Unit Management team. He/She is responsible to provide all reporting and analysis to support business decision and to optimize the allocation and usage of company resource.

Main duties/responsibilities:

BUSINESS PARTNERING

· Prepare monthly reporting of the Commercial Business Unit Greater Asia Pacific, which encompass Singapore, Malaysia, Australia (potential new entities in 2024 and 2025).

. Ensure Data Quality of Financial and non-Financial indicators (Headcount, Commercial Pipeline, Manpower Utilization etc…)

. Analysis of variance vs Budget / Forecast / Last year

· With the support of the CFOs and General Manager, the Business Controller will lead Yearly Budget and Quarterly Forecast Process for the CBU

· The Business Controller shall ensure the compliance of the region with regards to Group procedures and Internal Control Framework

· Support Commercial Business Unit team in building and implementing performance action plans (KPI).

· Participate in and track cost savings initiatives.

· Develop Capex and business cases.

· Support for EMC CBU for validation of financial models, monthly reporting, and other finance supports.

· Aeroflow Finance Key user.

· Be a Business Partner for Sales and Service departments: provide information, advise, identify profit improvement opportunities, support the requests.

. Provide analysis for Project Tender (cash curve, credit analysis etc…)

OTHER

· Support yearly audit requests.

· Monitor cash collection and DSO of the CBU

· The group is undertaking the implementation of CCH Tagetik for Consolidation and FP&A in 2024. The CBU controller will be the Key User for the region (FP&A)

Job Responsibilities

The Turnaround (TA) Cost Controller is responsible for developing and establishing the TA cost control plan and act as point of contact to meet the KPIs of the TA in terms of contract management, Inventory management and cost optimization, in consideration of safety, resources and timing commitments.

This is a contract role, based in Jurong Island.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure leadership role to develop and establish Turnaround (TA) cost control department as a single point contact to meet KPI of the major TA.
• Ensure adequacy of work planning documentations prepared and timely tracked their generation/ preparation progress.
• Gatekeeper of late work request process. Ensure proper work acceptance & closure recorded for effective overall TA closure.

Objectives:

Contract: Able to understand procurement contracts, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service level agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to forecast TA expenses, inclusive of every late requets

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

TA budget and Cost control:

• Preparing proposal of turnaround forecast including cost of individual task.
• Control purchase order opening and closing according to status of the project.
• Monitoring, updating, and analyzing turnaround cost, reporting on cost variances verus activities during actual shutdown period.
• Provide regular reports on turnaround cost status and cost deviations to TA Project manager and others as assigned by the PM.

SAP Utilization:

Job Scope:

• Conducts analysis of planned versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Planning & Controls Manager.

• Prepares required presentation deck and assists in project reviews. Updates project (cost) adjustments approved by the Project Manager and Controller in SAP or other Project Controls systems.
