Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and teach courses in Data Science domain and related areas.
• Participate in Master Level examinations related activities, course work project supervision and student recruitment.
• Mentor and supervise Master of Technology students in their projects and internships in industry, guide and ensure the fulfillment of their learning journey.
• Explore the use of new analytics methodologies and technologies through research, student projects and consultancy engagements.

Requirements:

• A good Master’s degree or Doctorate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Artificial Intelligence or other related quantitative areas.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience in business intelligence, analytics consultancy and solutioning preferably across industry verticals.
• Possess hands-on proficiency, experience and knowledge in the following areas:Advanced data analytics
  Data Mining & statistical methods, techniques & tools for solving business problems
  Data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  Data warehouse methodologies and data modelling
  Techniques for handling structured and unstructured data
  Big Data architectures, tools and methods (e.g. Hadoop, MapReduce etc)
  End to end date pipeline construction (e.g. Airflow) for data quality evaluation and model deployment
  Data Science/ Machine Learning model deployment using Cloud Computing Infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure)

• Strong programming skills in R, Python, and others.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas. A Master’s Degree or higher is preferred
• Hands-on experience in modern software engineering practices, ideally one or more of the following:
• Software design and development on modern stacks and programming languages on web and mobile
• Object-oriented component-based software development and testing
• IoT and Intelligent systems incorporating Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabilities
• Agile SDLC lifecycle processes, techniques and tools, eg Scrum, DevOps and automation
• Engineering and architecting Big Data systems, including NoSQL databases, data warehouses and data lakes
• Prototyping and architecting real time cyber-physical systems incorporating human-centric interfaces such as voice, gesture, touch

• Development and delivery of courseware curriculum and assessment for the Digital Innovation and Design practice.
• Translate practical industry experience and expertise into capabilities development in the areas of User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI), Interaction Design and Design Thinking.
• Drive research, consulting and training for projects and collaborations with partnering companies.
• Representing the Digital Innovation & Design Practice at industry network events and contributing to the overall NUS-ISS organisation strategic directions.

Requirements:

• A good university degree or postgraduate with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise and industry experience in all stages of the UX/UI development process from customer journey mapping to defining a project’s strategy, scope, and information architecture.
• Proven industry track records in conducting user research.
• Develop sitemaps and wireframes for industry projects.
• Knowledge of upcoming digital trends, technologies and relevant software applications.
• Passionate in knowledge transfer and building the next generation UX, UI, Design professionals.
• Prior or current teaching experience for adult learners a plus.
