Founding Program Director, Speech-Language Pathology Program
Marymount University, in partnership with the national search firm, Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Founding Program Director, Speech-Language Pathology Program. The College of Health and Education at Marymount University seeks to appoint a Program Director for the newly developing Speech-Language Pathology graduate program. The University seeks a Program Director that is passionate about providing excellent service, ensuring a high-quality student experience, and creating a collaborative working environment. This position is for a full-time, open-rank, tenure-track Professor in Speech-Language Pathology.
The Program Director will lead the development of a new SLP program for a planned opening in 2026. The candidate should provide evidence of strong leadership; exceptional communication skills; an understanding of higher education, curricular design, assessment, and contemporary speech-language pathology clinical practice. Demonstrated administrative experience is highly preferred.
Duties include developing and teaching undergraduate prerequisite and graduate SLP courses, advising students, pursuing scholarly endeavors leading to publication, presentations, and grants, and participating in campus and community service. This is a campus-based position.
The Program Director’s specific responsibilities include oversight of the budget, implementation of the newly designed online curriculum and adherence to the accreditation standards, faculty mentorship, and selected teaching in the area of expertise. The candidate should have academic credentials commensurate with the faculty rank of Assistant Professor or higher; this is a tenure-track position. Salary and benefits are competitive.

Current program of research or potential to develop a line of research is preferred.
Experience with CAA accreditation procedures and online teaching experience is highly valued.
